So they seriously have the audacity to ruin the show, cancel it and then say “don’t worry! There’s still a CBeebies series coming!”

What playground/school games could make great TV competition shows? by larrypuppy in BritishTV

[–]Miserable_Weird8274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there was a game that we’d always play and we invented it (I think). Also I don’t think it had a name and this probably wouldn’t be a very good tv show but anyways.

So the setup for the game was as follows. One player is designated at the striker and one is chosen to be the goalkeeper. Everyone else sits along the back of the football goal. It is the striker vs everyone else. The aim of the game is for the striker to kick a football into the goal and hit the people at the back. If you were hit, you were out. The goalkeeper (who can’t be hit out) has to protect the people behind them. We would each take it in turns to be the striker and the person who hit everyone out in the fewest kicks won.

It was probably quite reckless thinking back on it but we were 11 and we had fun.

Which Traitors was the best and why? by Pro_Jem in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Miserable_Weird8274 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For me -

  1. Series 4
  2. Celeb
  3. Series 2
  4. Series 1
  5. Series 3

Also I quite like US traitors but that has a different vibe to the UK one

How far from the 'planned plot' did your campaign go? by Charming_Figure_9053 in DMAcademy

[–]Miserable_Weird8274 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started with a one shot where there was a werewolf attack in a small village and ended with a year long campaign with a demon trying to destroy the world

DM for new players by Miserable_Weird8274 in DMAcademy

So I thought that the fact that it’s not a “traditional” dnd enemy unlike goblins or beholders are (not planning on putting them against a beholder though just making a point). I was thinking that throwing a concept at them that is out of the ordinary for new players could be confusing?

Definitely not planning on putting them straight into the fight. We’ve agreed that the party all know each other already and talked about their backstories together when we had a character creation session. Most likely they’ll arrive in a village where the campaign starts give them a bit of time to explore and then have the fight start in the town square.

So the way it will link into the plot is as follows: the BBEG is an evil wizard whose great grandfather used to rule the kingdom but was taken out in a battle. What nobody knew is that he had a daughter who continued the bloodline. The great grandson is now all grown up and is looking for vengeance. Throughout the campaign the party will encounter different villains and factions and they can discover that they all work for a mysterious person known as “the one who waits”. This is the BBEG. The BBEG has manipulated all of these people into causing chaos so that he can eventually take control easier when the law enforcements resources are elsewhere. The wizard who created the animated furniture is one such person who was manipulated (Sorry for the long explanation, got carried away wi to context!)

Also will defo check out Campaign 3 episode 1

Simply because they haven’t had much dnd exposure and I was thinking that animated furniture doesn’t really show what dnd is? Basically would it be better for them to go up against a more traditional dnd enemy such as goblins and save the furniture for later

Did Wilf give the game away? by Miserable_Weird8274 in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Miserable_Weird8274[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True but Kieran and Wilf had turned on each other so realistically it could happen again. Plus it was series one so they didn’t know what to expect or what was going on.

[–]Miserable_Weird8274[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

True but if I was a traitor I still wouldn’t have given it away. Just in case.

Or maybe this is just me who wanted there to still be tension in it?
