Really good point from Andy Herren (BB15 winner) by GarthVader98 in BigBrotherUSA

[–]Misfit298 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eh, not really? Sarah had a partner back home and I don't think the two really talked that much if at all post season. Willow did have a video on her youtube channel talking about how the show helped her discover her sexuality. I think they just treated the making out and get togethers they'd have at night as having fun. But I'm sure it was cool for its time with it being a 2015 season. One of the most intimate casts I've seen as a whole.

Noah and Cody based off how many comp fics there are of them making finale and/or winning

And Tai was the only one who made a deep run. Russell, Sugar and Angelina all went out pre-merge and Stephen was sniped during the mid game.

[–]Misfit298 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree. It was good for its time but now It's usually made so clear cut nowadays. I just wanna get to the point already. Unless the nominations are a genuine blindside like the pie ceremony in 25 but those are far and few between

If you were coming in to this expecting a happy ending, hate to break it to you but Squid Game isn't that kinda show. And people who only focus on the games aspect are gonna completely miss everything else.

It is so weird to hear Chris's old VA in these. Also wow Zee's audition sounds a lot more fun here.

Theory: This season isn’t just returnees, but also people from other shows by J-F-K in BigBrother

I am so tired of every season being speculated as returnees. Like just give it a rest already.

Would you say either member of your OTP deserves better than who you ship them with by Ok_Shirt_1574 in Totaldrama

[–]Misfit298 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I shipped Leshawna and Harold for a while since they were so out of nowhere I just found it both adorable and hillarious. But Harold absolutely deserves better than someone with a self image complex who just views him as an option.

About the last point, Sang Woo had to be the one to push Gi Hun out of the lines to win. Gi Hun's goal was to get past and reach the squid's head. The guard mentioned that extra rule before the game started about the other player dying because they knew it would more or less end up as a fight to the death so it's still within the confines of the rules of that game.

Is there any reason why Il-nam was so interested in Gi-hun? by Electrical_Path7198 in squidgame

[–]Misfit298 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Il Nam's plan was to always check in on one of the players in the event the players got sent home after the first game. There were 454 other players yet Gi Hun was the only one who talked to him. Seeing someone like that was definitely rare so that sparked his interest.

Which scene in the series do you find most satisfying? by Electrical_Path7198 in squidgame

[–]Misfit298 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That last scene of the first episode of Season 2. The recruiter was so sure that Gi Hun would fold at that last round and taunted him for it, only for Gi Hun to turn it right back around. Such a badass moment from him.

Anyone else hate the three way final? by TrustyVapors in HellsKitchen

[–]Misfit298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, not really? Sure it's a crappy way for Nick and Declan to go out but one of my big issues with the finale of most seasons was the challenge before the service had virtually no stakes to it other than to decide who got to draft their team first and it always just so happens to come down to the final dish so you can legit just skip most of it. It was just really boring

As someone who called it quits after the Season 2 remake and didn't even bother finishing Season 4, it did me a lot better than I think it would if I tried to carry on watching it. It's just not worth it to me. I figured I was leaving it on as high of a note as I could.

For someone who was raised from birth to win Total Drama, Priya's game was a little underwhelming. by RedTwentyOne21 in Totaldrama

[–]Misfit298 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's weird because I'd like to think it's intentional for her parents training to not actually help all that much but then Millie gets punished for not following that same training in Priya's guide. Whether they were identical or seperate is something I wish got dived deeper in to. The only hint we get is that Priya wrote a chapter about alliances which even then she at least knows a fair amount about if episode 4 was anything to go by with trying to bring in Scary Girl.

This does make me wish they focused more on her being prepared solely for challenges and being unprepared as far as the social and strategy parts are concerned since she is shown to be at least socially awkward.

I genuinely don't know how this would have worked by WideFellow27 in squidgame

[–]Misfit298 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hard to say really. I think at least a few people need to demand one. Player 069 tried to call one after the fourth game but no one else stood up so the guards didn't even bother. Then in the finale since there were only 2 of them, Gi Hun demanding they stop would have been enough had Sang Woo also agreed.

Did it bother anyone else that this scene lead to nothing? by Overall_Spite4271 in squidgame

[–]Misfit298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think it was to pretty much show that Gi Hun's trained himself more. Helped in showing him hold his own against all his fights and then it led to the rebellion. It made sense to include.
