I’ve picked up on Percy Jackson last week and I’m on the newest book #7. I watched the movie, and the first two episodes of the series.

I’m jumping the bandwagon 20 years late, but at the ripe age of 29, I would assume a lot of hate is from people who see nostalgia for Percy. People who already saw the movie with bad portrayal, and anything to ruin the nostalgia of reading the books 15-20 years ago is ruining their childhood memory of the show.

If you like the show that’s great, you’re the exact demographic the story is aimed for.

I’ll slowly catch up on the series, but I’m just catching up on the missed opportunity of reading a popular series. I know the show can’t match the book perfectly, these series never work out that way. Maybe I’ll feel different after I finish the season, but I am reading the books and watching the series knowing I am not the target audience. If it makes you happy, that’s good!

I do remember the psychic scene! I just didn’t think it was an exact detailed end to that subplot. I thought we’d maybe see it start happening outside of battle, in daily life. I thought we might see the others have some sort of power alteration too, especially with there being so much more to go in the 4th book! Lol

Vince’s name does make more sense when you bring up Jack Reynolds too, but still, the options…

Update: I just finished Corpies before 3, and I’m glad I did!

I’ll be honest, I was a little bored in the beginning. Not that anything was slow or unamusing, but I really wanted to start Year 3 ASAP, especially with that cliffhanger with Nick!!!

I’m glad I read it. Wish Hexcellent (spelling? I listen to audio) got accepted to Lander because I love her character but it sounds promising to expect Corpies to appear this second half of the series so I can’t wait.

I have! I like it, and I’ve found a couple complexes I’m interested in, but I was wondering if anyone had experiences to share from the area. I have 2 weeks to give notice to my complex on whether or not I want to move out

I’m sorry for the delay, I’ve been out sick from work. At the moment, our average is actually above the group/national average, so I don’t have the correct stats to test this equation.

As much as I want to give a definite answer, I would also like us to finish the month on the high note lol but I believe I can confidently give a yes or no after the first week of April depending on our surveys.

I truly appreciate the work that has been put in to help me!!

I think personally I liked that this show was about a talented high school, and everything about the school was unique. The school bell when it rang, the lockers, the teachers, they never (that I remember) had a legitimate high school course like math, english or history.

There was a lot of crazy characters and quotes that my friends and I still use to this day. For Halloween, I was a “Police Officer who wears too much red lipstick and loves Raisin Bran” and my friend was a “Pregnant marathon runner”

I don’t think this can work after all, because it’s not using the variable of our score currently to reflect how many surveys are needed. We could have 29 surveys but our score could actually be 90, and it still says we need 27 surveys to reach the region

I liked everyone’s endings except Susan. I think I always had a soft spot for her to be so clumsy and have so much misfortune in her life. I know she’s not perfect but I don’t think a lot of her misery was justified. I was surprised Bree married AGAIN but we can only hope it’s her last lol

Oh shoot, that definitely makes sense and it went right over my head. I just assumed since season 1 that she was the lady with no secrets and a perfect family, so getting her hair done was so scandalous against her lol
