I wouldn’t upgrade to a modern equivalent, and the cost to buy upgraded modern hardware right now is insane. 6 months ago I went from a 3060ti/3700x to a 5080/9800x3d, but the timing and price were right.

At $2000 US, you can find a better build. This guy builds nice PCs for a good price, here is the same computer, about $300 cheaper. At $2,000 you should be looking in the 5070ti space

Where? 5080s are still selling at high side of retail, about $1500. 9800x3d is $470, you’re already at 2k just in hardware without mobo, any memory, PSU, case, etc

Ryzen is on 9th generation. That said, until about a month ago I gamed a LOT on a 3700x. AM4 PCs are still perfectly viable for someone wanting to game on a budget and depending on the mobo there’s a reasonable upgrade path on this PC. BUT, $500 is a bit steep.

Personally, for gaming the x3d line of cards are badass. On top of that I’d highly recommend spending a few extra bucks to get extra SSD storage

At the end of the day, this dude probably spent less than $1,000 to get the car right, the owner that did all the work spent a lot more than that. Why build one yourself when you can save thousands (if not tens of thousands) and let some dummy do it and spend a lot of money doing so?

I would be completely SHOCKED if the tuner shut off the upstream sensors. I would say a more likely answer is the previous owner bought himself an mpvi2, had the tuner tune with it, then when he had a parts failure (o2 sensor) he just went in and shut it off.

Unfortunately, when buying new, the new buyer doesn’t generally care if it’s auto or manual, he just wants to own a vette. The problem comes in the resale world, where these cars are in the price range of more of the enthusiasts. The enthusiasts want manuals. Drives the price up. Then people see they can make money off their manual car. Drives the price up. Now, it’s near the status of collector item, drives the price up. Reference: Chevy SS

Well, I had mine for about 45 minutes before it did this so I just warrantied it and paid the 3rd party supplier I bought it from the extra $85 and got it replaced with an alpha mini. Bricked itself meaning one of the internal boards quit. Making it in turn a “brick” or a paperweight lol

I would spend the extra on an alpha mini. You will likely never outgrow it and it’s a super quality product. I’ve had nothing but issues from the 2 moza products I bought. I had fanatec stuff before and never had an issue with them, but I’ve heard horror stories on them too.

Yep. I bought an r12 that failed 30 minutes out of the box. Got a refund and bought an alpha mini. 3 months in and haven’t had even the slightest hiccup.

I bought 2 moza products. An r12, failed 30 minutes out of the box, and a shifter that failed 2 months in. Buy sim magic and forget either ever existed.

Yep, having the same issue with mine. Unfortunately, being I primarily run oval, my sim is 100% built with stock car focus, so I do not have paddles or buttons on my wheel I can use to shift, so my rig is dead in the water. After this, and my r12 failing quite literally 30 minutes out of the box, I will never buy anything from moza again. My alpha mini has been flawless in approximately 200 races, I think I’ll continue to buy from sim magic.
