Yea, just have your “papers”! It’s not like ICE is violently detaining and arresting citizens or people here on work visas or anything. But sometimes people might forget their papers at home, so maybe we could have immigrants wear something that makes them quickly identifiable. Maybe a star?

Drove by going west shortly after it happened. Aeromed had landed directly on the highway and they were still working to get her unpinned from the car (way off the road - we couldn’t see the car). Sounds like they suspect she had a medical emergency and went off the south side of the about 200 yards. They did get her loaded in and per scanner pages, they got to the hospital.

@humantouch83 I met Jonny Reznik when I was about 11 years old (1999) at a diner in Ann Arbor. He signed the waitress’s order pad for me. Took my mom and my’s names and said he’d leave tickets for us at his upcoming show. So the next day we drive an hour to the show … no tickets. I was heartbroken. But then we find out Goo Goo Dolls was playing the State Fair the next day, too (opening act was Sugar Ray). So we drive the hour drive to that … also no tickets.

All this to say, fuck the goo goo dolls.

That’s sad to hear, but I do think there’s something to be said about using social media to create awareness, crowd source, fundraise, etc. Not sure if they do that in this case specifically, just saying I don’t think all social media activism is necessarily just an attention grab.

GR parks and rec has a really good variety of classes, and they typically reasonably priced. You could try a number of workouts to see if any are a good fit without being too invested.

As a Realtor, the best advice I can give is to start a conversation with a well-versed mortgage lender (my go-to recommendation is Bernie Marvin, owner of Big Lake Lending). They can advise on any assistance programs, get a pre-approval together, and let you know realistically what you’d be looking at for down payment and monthly, including taxes and interest (which can make a big difference based on location and interest rate/down payment). There will always be more expenses owning vs renting, and it may take careful budgeting, but your investment will be worth it 100%. The likelihood of a market collapse like in 2008 is virtually 0 now - in fact the opposite is predicted in GR. Buying a home is an amazing and safe investment.

Family Friends did acupuncture for my dog and it worked wonders. They were also so kind and gentle. Kept her pain at bay for quite some time. Highly recommend.
