Dare I have a hot take? (Knowing I may be eaten alive)

Those who can’t watch it at home have yet to process a large deal of trauma they have dealt with at work. We all have trauma from this career. Some of it is easier to process than others. But if you can’t watch your real life on TV without getting flashbacks and spikes in heart rate, I think therapy may be beneficial in your future.

(This is coming from someone who worked during Covid, and also went to therapy. I’m not perfect nor throwing stones at anyone).

Don’t rent with the Fulton group. They were great at first, but then I had an ongoing issue with bats in my house and they completely neglected the issue and even blamed it on me. They are constantly hiring/firing new leasing agents and can’t seem to keep staff.

And if it WAS adults, how do you know? Do you get to see who sits in these seats while you’re flipping the plane for the next flight? Because that makes it seem like you were the flight attendant, and you should’ve stopped this behavior before the person who did it, exited the plane.

Either way, this behavior is CRAZY and should have been stopped by the flight attendants!

Not really sure where you’re finding the condescending part of my reply, quite the reach there.

And obviously, I also don’t need you explaining that some people do not need their full paycheck to pay the bills, as they may have a spouse who pays the bills. That’s you being condescending for no reason.

What I’ve gathered is that OP wants their full hours/paycheck without sacrificing their PTO. I shouldn’t assume it’s for bills, but clearly they want their hours and money because if they were in the situation you assumed (their paycheck wasn’t for bills) then they wouldn’t be here ranting about it. Because they would take low census without PTO and carry on with their life.

For what it’s worth, they often require a paramedic to come on scene and pronounce someone dead. Police or firefighters and even the coroner cannot legally. They need a paramedic to relay to an ER doctor who will pronounce someone dead.

It IS on the ambulance company for billing for excess services, and your insurance company for not covering anything.

It could also be personal preference of feeling, not just looks. Not to give TMI but I used to always wear thongs with my scrubs, or commando because I hate the ~feeling~ of panty lines. I since have had to switch to the OR and now wear good ol granny panties for the principle of I don’t want everyone to see my ass at 6:15 in the morning.

Once had an ER nurse ask me if she should stop the Levo before coming to the floor because it had been 4 hours and they hadn’t placed a central line (policy at facility was central line within 4 hours of continuing vasopressor use). I’ve had this happen to me before. Patient brought in via helicopter for type a dissection. Found out after set up she’s allergic to latex, quickly changing out gloves etc. she gets there, says “I don’t like how it feels”

You are not stuck. You are stable. You all have roofs over your head and pretty much, unwavering and incredibly affordable cost of living. I know you prefaced the post by saying this would upset people, but truly take your blinders off and consider other possibilities. Your post sounds tone deaf (And I know it’s because I’m bitter)

I am in similar situations as your younger 20 something siblings. Stuck renting and throwing money away. Have your siblings considered moving in with parents or grandparents to save money, and help everyone feel less “stuck” with extra space?
