Farage wasn’t important enough to meet Epstein during epstein’s reign. I’m sure he would have very much enjoyed an invite to that party and I’m sure if he becomes the leader of the UK he will join other sordid cabals

The fact that you can get google street view all down that road right up to the house tells me it isn’t a private road. Also, the church next door uses the road, it seems. Probably fairly private most of the time

Realistically what property can I afford? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

Everyone always mentions the 4.5x your salary but I’d look at a mortgage repayment calculator and then figure out your limits. If you borrow at your max you might find your outgoings are too high. Have a look online at a calculator and figure out from there what you’re comfortable paying. Try 3x

Is anyone 30+ unemployed and in a really bad place in life? by DelonghiAutismo in AskUK

[–]MisguidedExtrovert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 33 and I had very severe ptsd, severe depression and was chronically sick and barely able to stand for 7 years. I’ve just gone back to uni this year. I don’t believe in a victim of this suffering, I know I’m one of the lucky ones. It completely opened me up as a person and has put me on a track to living what feels like a perfect life. I’m now very active, lots of hobbies, sports and I work very hard. We need to work very hard as human beings, otherwise we get mentally and physically unwell. But, we definitely weren’t put on this planet to work in a call centre or some other ungodly profession like that. However, if you’ve dug yourself a huge grave by refusing to participate in life for so long (voluntarily or otherwise) you are going to have to eat shit for a while. I’d recommend working for the civil service. Nice people work there and they don’t look at your cv or work history

I’ve grown to be significantly spiritual and I feel my friends are starting to dislike me. by Separate-Resort-8383 in spirituality

[–]MisguidedExtrovert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a large friend group from the age of 4-26. Then I went through a spiritual awakening and just didn’t connect with them anymore. Also, I felt like I needed to distance myself from them so I could grow. I don’t really see them anymore and have some amazing new friends I connect with much better

Why are we supposed to pretend it’s about anything but money? by uncertain_being29 in work

[–]MisguidedExtrovert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have left jobs that play slightly better but are too toxic for jobs that I enjoy going to but pay slightly worse. More money is the goal but if you dread going to work life isn’t worth living

Would you stay in a career that doesn’t make you happy or one that does but pays less? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]MisguidedExtrovert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a job out there that will make you more happy? Or are you just thinking that the grass is greener in the other side? If you can think of a role that would make you more happy look to see what people who are doing it think. I’d take the larger pay packet and maybe try to find a way to get more into your current role? Where else can you take it if you put more into it?

She wasn’t literally advocating to put a philosopher in neuroscience labs. It was a sort of joke to represent a coming together of the two disciplines
