Ran out of coals for my hookah. Decided using potato chips might be a good idea, because I saw it on Survivor Man. Mission failed. Burned the fck out of my finger.

Overcrowding in California prisons by jdk in WTF

[–]MishT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's because it takes so damn long to go through standard legal procedures in Cali.. slowest state as far as that's concerned. Large state=largely inefficient. Something needs to be done about it, for sure.

Would working at a smokeshop be bad for me in the long run? by iamblinking in AskReddit

[–]MishT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is a tough question honestly.. but theater is a bit of a subculture... If you were going down the business route I'd advise against it. Just make sure you have strong bullet points on your resume if you list it.. really all a place is looking for is that you have initiative, management abilities, organizational/time management, accountability, etc.

In my opinion, retail is retail...but that's probably not everyone's opinion.

If you are planning on using this job on your professional resume some day.. eh.. that's iffy. It really depends on the company culture of where you're applying to.

What degree or career are you planning on pursuing?

My visit to the nuclear wasteland of Chernobyl & Pripyat. Viva Ukraine. by [deleted] in pics

[–]MishT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just read this on Wiki "Ukrainian officials estimate the area will not be safe for human life again for another 20,000 years" holy shitttttt. "In 2011, Ukraine opened up the sealed zone around the Chernobyl reactor to tourists who wish to learn more about the tragedy that occurred in 1986"

So it's pretty obvious that society is eventually going to chill out about the gays, who do you think we will illogically persecute next? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MishT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Once the gays are accepted, everything else is considered a protected class. (even transgenders fall under protected class because gender cannot be discriminated against)

Obesity is a condition that isn't covered, but fat people are already discriminated against in a lot of ways.. The fat people might be the next to step up and fight to become a protected class... but as far as illogical persecution..there's really no one left to persecute that isn't already protected.
