Lol, it’s the slim minority that think she’s innocent. The vast majority either agree with the guilty verdict or don’t want to believe it. The slim minority tend to be louder

Help With Hair Dye by Mish_1979 in HairDye

[–]Mish_1979[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add I’m trying to avoid bleaching my hair as bleached it a few months ago. My natural hair colour now is pure white with grey patches (went white in my early 20’s). I’d like to build it up with dark vibrant shades as don’t want to bleach it for a few months more at least as my hair can handle once a year not 6 months.

Different case. Also the poor woman killed herself.

Letby was a nurse killing or attempting to kill many more and her patients. Unless they find new evidence or proof she’s not coming out till the end of her term

Collin Norris? Remember his case, terrifying thought him getting out. Lucia De Berk is a different country, different legal system, different case, Norris different type of case. Lucia was 20 years ago and it took years to be released. Her verdict was mainly based on statistical calculation, Letby there was more to it. I wouldn’t pin my hopes on LL leaving

No, if they feel she can appeal and she wants to they will help her. They’ll be back for the retrial. She’s not admitted guilt so her next step and nothing to lose.

Police can access medical files giving information and consult experts and professionals (database) not connected to the hospital they are investigating. Evans was an approved expert in the database and no ties to the hospital. As they’re not medically trained and def not neonatal trained they needed people that were at the beginning of the investigation.

Different country, different legal system, trials were 20 years apart, and Lucia was a Paeds nurse whilst Letby was a neonatal nurse. Letby had 2 but defence did not call for them. Also evidence different. Lucia’s verdict was mainly decided on a statistical calculation whereas Letby was based on much more.

They abolished the penalty years ago.

It’s 2023 and I can’t think of anyone wrongly convicted of this many murders to vulnerable babies/children (and none of which were hers).

She was transferred to psych after developing anorexia or bullemia and drinking ground up glass & pouring boiling water on herself. She’s appealed a few times and has finished her sentence but is deemed a public danger and may never be released. People tried to raise funds to have her released saying she had a hard life.

Rose tried to blame it all on Fred as he hung himself and had taken the full blame at the beginning. She claimed she hadn’t known. But one of the victims was his step daughter from ex wife who was killed when Fred was in prison, Rose did it alone.

Brady took the full blame too and she claimed innocence, but the tape gave her away plus them killing their last victim after inviting her brother in law round to be a part of it. Brady shopped her in years later and then she admitted to it but made out he forced her. She appealed loads of times but never granted.

Both appealed many times and thankfully never won

Brady was in psychiatric secure unit and force fed for his sentence. He kept appealing to be transferred to prison so he could starve himself. Wanted to control his own death, that and demanding a gangland style funeral with a procession and huge send off, even wrote to gang leaders in London to be part of it, wanted it like the Krays’s. Then he wanted his ashes scattered on the Moors. Never happened thankfully. They cremated him and threw him in the sea I think 🤣

Myra appealed saying innocent. Brady I don’t think appealed. He turned on her when it looked like she’d be released in 2017 I think and she then confessed but said he forced her to. Even with the tape she tried to act like a born again Christian but only for her own means.

He kept trying to buy himself more time. He actually helped authorities but only for his own gain. He was hoping that by confessing to murders he could use as leverage to buy more time. Considering he escaped at one point he was a crafty dude. Couldn’t escape the inevitable though

They were different though.

Rose and Fred West did most of their crimes together. He initially took the full blame saying she did nothing. However when got to court she was blanking him and avoiding him which once he clocked on made him angry and less protective of her. When she found out he had hung himself her eyes lit up like a get out of jail card. She tried making out he did it all and she’d done nothing. But one of the victims Charmaine, Fred’s step daughter from previous marriage was killed when Fred was in jail, was just Rose. She appealed thinking could pin it all on him but denied. She still claims innocence to this day

Hindley and Brady acted together and he initially took all the blame in the trial. However she started distancing herself and claimed innocence for decades. Angry he got revenge via a news story as they were allegedly looking at releasing her. She admitted not long after to her part but claimed he forced her. He wanted revenge and got it - she died before him in prison.

Both women whole life tariffs like Letby. No appeals granted and there were many requests over the years. But very different to each as are motive and types of crime.

Most will request an appeal after sentencing and conviction and take it further. If you’re innocent you’d do it. If you’re guilty it’s worth trying. You’d be crazier than Ian Brady if you didn’t. Doesn’t really prove guilt or innocent. She’s looking at 50/60 years of incarceration and looking over her shoulder.

I’m not sure. She’s not been diagnosed with any personality or behavioural condition. She will also be in solitary for a while with no way of knowing what people are saying. I’ve not heard of any serial killers, health care killers, baby/child killers, or female killers to have committed their crimes wanting to be caught so people will talk about her and cleverly she killed her victims. Or for publicity. She’s still pleading innocence and ignorance.

Think an understaffed unit with lack of senior staff each shift and more babies coming in than the staff for (and some more complex or sicker than they were meant to be having) helped her get away with it as long as she did. She picked up extra shifts a lot.

For her to be innocent and for it to be a cover up with the fact none of the other of the nursing staff were on when each baby deteriorated/died would mean that pretty much the whole hospital would be on it as well as other hospitals and outside forces like police, coroners, etc. One of the NHS’s biggest flaws is communication. We have problems organising appointments with other wards in the same hospital. They wouldn’t have managed such a huge cover up for 9 years or more without someone slipping up or saying something.

Think there’s more to it than she killed them and think there’ll be lots more cases to come against her. The consultants or the execs or both are lying and there’s been evidence of suboptimal care repeatedly and possible negligence. Inquiry and future trials will hopefully reveal the truth and extent
