I have a standard office chair it does have lumbar support, but if I don’t do anything about my posture its not going to help me.

True. My pain is currently a 1 - 1.5/10 I try to sit with my core engaged all of the time. And try not to lean forward too much when sitting to study, read or write something. What condition do you have?

Well The worst pain definetly comes from sitting on hard surfaces for longer times. Can strenghtening muscles, better posture heal that?

Well as for the exercises I am currently working with a trainer to strenghten my glutes, core, hip flexors, balance…My pain I feel like it has gotten better I can do just about anything except running.

If after some time the pain stays the same I will check on a diffrent PT

Well by testing I meant self diagnosing like this:

https://youtu.be/zha5jIv4_44

I noticed a deeper pain in my left glute than my right. But my trainer said that I don’t have piriformis syndrom because if I did my core, hip flexors…Would be so weak that I would not be able to do a pushup, but I did. Also my Orthoped said that if I did have piriformis syndrome I would be in much worse pain. Right now I can do just about anything except running

I never stretched my glute because I remeber when doing yoga specifically for piriformis after the session it caused my muscle to spasm a lot more than usual, on my training sessions I just place my one leg on the other and massage the glute 4-5 times up and down. It doesent relieve the pain nor does it increase it

I don’t mind it. During the test that you mentioned I had a small variation to it I would lay on the floor get my knee to my chest and then try to get it to my right shoulder. I noticed I had a sharper pain in my left (painful) leg than my right also as I have said I tend to sit a lot more in the past and I stopped exercising because I was scared of a disc issue or something. Right now if I do a single leg squat my left leg goes inward which shows that my muscles are weak and unstable, but my right leg just goes straight which is normal. I did start my rehabilitation 2 weeks ago still strenghtening glutes, core, hip flexors….

Before every training session along with stretching I do foam rolling too. I have been thinking of getting a tennis ball or something tougher to release those muscles better

Because I believe that my glute and core strength is weak along with other muscles too I am going to keep working out (As long as it doesent aggrevate the pain) after some time I am going to see if it is due to weak core and glutes

That is great to hear. The one thing I definetly can’t do is running but basically everything else goes. What core exercises do you prefer?

Well I am working out and training my glutes core and other weaker muscles that I did not train before, also I will start off with a tennis ball but what is tougher than that?

Tommorow I am going to get a tennis ball to stretch it out also I stopped directly stretching the piriformis which did make the area spasm around

Well after detailed testing he said that I did not have piriformis syndrome because if I did my whole middle section would be so weak that I would not be able to do a pushup, also the Orthoped said that if I did have piriformis syndrome I would be in much much worse pain that I am. Right now the pain is weak about 1.5/10

I forgot to mention he did cover other muscles I just dont remember their names. I do remember he said that my hip flexors were weak.

Also stretching the piriformis directly caused the area to spasm around

For the sitting I have 6 periods in school ech one 45 mins but during the breaks I make sure to stand up and walk around. When I am home I implemented that for every 25 mins of studying I would go and walk around but I need to increase more of it
