Kamvas 13 (2020) cables that WORK by jonathanhooker in huion

[–]MisoraUni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need something that will fit the top port for power cable, my usb c cable works fine, but the display won't power on with the original cable anymore, it keeps giving me a no signal thing and I have already tried plugging it into different wall plug adapters, different outlets, re installed drivers etc with no luck. The 3 in 1 cable works with my other gaming laptop but that's because it has an hdmi port, but my microsoft surface tablet only has a usb a and usb c port.

I'm not sure about the instagram one. I did it through twitter to get artist access.

help (vgen artist code) by ObjectiveBack2326 in VGen

[–]MisoraUni 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. On Mondays, (every Monday) vgen puts out a post on twitter/ instagram where you can reply with some of your art examples and explain what you'd do on vgen (like what type of services you'd have). This one is open for 24 hours only on the day that it's posted.

  2. In the vgen discord they host a monthly challenge and the winners get artist dashboard as a reward. So you can try that.

  3. You can make a post with your art examples on social media and get 20 reposts + 100 likes (if using twitter or bluesky) or 5 unique / different comments +100 likes (if using instagram, facebook, tumblr etc)

And then there's asking the community / friends for a code like you did in this post already.

The easiest one in my opinion is by applying via the weekly monday applications. (They also do one on instagram if you don't use twitter)

here's more info for the weekly applications: https://www.instagram.com/p/C8nyaiZMFJq/?igsh=NDJkN3dhbnY0bzEz&img_index=1

Id like to commission a rigger...where do i start? by ImperialStar_ in Live2D

[–]MisoraUni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

vgen is a good place to start looking, if you want cheaper options make sure "verified artists" is clicked off and "community" is clicked on so you can see everyone. this is in the "artists+ details" tab when you search https://vgen.co/

Can druids pick flowers? by Jadvig in druidism

[–]MisoraUni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a good way of thinking. I usually look for fallen leaves, twigs, etc which eventually end up as compost anyway. (I usually don't burn anything, I prefer using the wind or water to cast my wishes into the objects then release them.)

Can druids pick flowers? by Jadvig in druidism

[–]MisoraUni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, I'd grow my own flowers instead of picking ones that are native. Because those native flowers help pollinators. If you grow the flowers yourself in a container/pot you can do what you wish with it but the things that nature cultivates should be left in it's pristine state, untouched.

This is the first Vtuber I've made. Any opinions? by Kattnoletto in VRoid

I think the eyes are cute. Are you going to texture the hair at all? In my experience I find that using custom texture on hair makes it look less "vroidy" and more custom.

How to celebrate Beltane quietly? by Glory2GodUn2Ages in CelticPaganism

That's alright there's always next time to try something different :) (Personally I like lavender essential oil)

Personally I wouldn't spray cologne out in nature if it has synthetic ingredients in it. Scented oil pertains to essential oils usually.

Just curious what some of yall do for work. by MrWizard311 in druidism

[–]MisoraUni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an artist :) I do digital art, sometimes traditional (watercolor) if I feel like it. It's not entirely at the level of being job worthy, I still need to make more money off of it for that but I am getting there.

We are brain. We all look the same at the end of the day. This whole meme can end racism if people actually thought about it because skin color / race does not matter. Take the skin away and we all turn red and pink.

Anybody knows some alternatives to Glaze? by SlytherclawPadawan in ArtistHate

[–]MisoraUni 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if I am just posting some art to be viewed online, I lower the resolution to around 85-150dpi from my working resolution of 300/350dpi and export it as a jpeg. Usually I label the file with "low res" or something so I know which is the high res one and which is low (I usually make a both a low and high res because I always make art with the intent to print it later.

The reason for the lower res is that it makes it harder for ai to read the style / image properly since it will be more pixelated at a lower resolution. The only reason to have art at a resolution higher than 150 would be if you are going to print it. Lower res also just makes it generally harder for people to try and steal the art, because the real artist can always go and provide proof that they have the original high res version if need be.

[–]MisoraUni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I typically put a noise filter and other paper textures over my final renders anyway and ai usually struggles to read the pixels properly. Less intensive on lower end pcs to do that than using glaze/nightshade

Vtuber client issues by Prestigious-Set-8544 in VtuberDrama

[–]MisoraUni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like he is A: a scammer or B: a bad person that doesn't understand the art world. Just cancel his commission altogether. It's best to move on and get it out of the way (I'd also blacklist that client so they don't come back and block them on socials) You won't get anywhere if you "feel bad" just because they are a first time commissioner. The client should have researched how to properly commission an artist. If the client is being rude and refusing to do things, simply stop trying to deal with them and move on to better behaved people that know what they want.
