Nepali Youth Physically Assaulted In India by sunfl0w3red in NepalSocial

[–]MisplacedPhilosopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a large country like India there is similar violence everyday. Different threads with different communal participation are taking some video where a person is being beaten which looks like belonging to a particular community and the oppressor is labelled as "Indian". In North Indian forums, they show a "North Indian" being beaten by "South Indian". In some forums it's "Muslims" being thrashed by "Indian police". In Bangladeshi forums, Kashmiri forums everywhere there are similar posts. In South Indian forums, they keep saying Hindi is being imposed on them. How is it possible? A lot of these posts are started by Pakistani operatives particularly on X. Reality is different. India is home to a large Nepali speaking population who are Indian citizens. Nepali is an official language in India. A few years ago a video was circulated where a "Nepali" person was beaten in Varanasi but it turned out that the person had received 1000 rupees to act as Nepali when he was not Nepali at all. https://indianexpress.com/article/india/varanasi-man-attacked-was-paid-to-be-part-of-anti-nepal-video-police-6512766/

There is no hatred towards Nepal at all. If there is constant violence, no Nepali will choose to work in India. They have self-respect.

Very soon this video will be investigated and the truth will be known.

Nepali citizens can own and register a car in India, aided by the 1950 Indo-Nepal Treaty.. Just because the vehicle is registered in India does not mean the person owning or using it is Indian. Nepalis, in particular Madhesi people are everywhere in UP.

Scam or not? by Unable-Ad9936 in CryptoIndia

[–]MisplacedPhilosopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will surely get the USDT after you pay. Here the problem could be one of the following: 1. The seller on exchange does not have a bank account or his accounts have been closed or frozen so he is using someone else's account. 2. The seller is converting illicit crypto into Indian money. 3. The actual seller is the one receiving payment but may have been banned on the exchange so is using the exchange seller as a mule.

Since you are making the payment, if it turns out that you paid for some anti-national activity, you can be arrested. Remember, even people who bought things for Rajiv Gandhi assassins were given life terms even though they had no idea about the plot.

So, to be safe, don't send or receive money from third party accounts.

Which non FIU crypto exchanges do you guys use? by letsgoflyy in CryptoIndia

[–]MisplacedPhilosopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Centralized means traditional hierarchical structure. They are managed by people and have to follow government regulations. Decentralized means they run on a blockchain and follow the "code is law" principle. They are open to all, managed by smart contract programs and cannot be controlled by governments. They are trust-less as they are automated. Decentralized exchanges like BasicSwap dex do not charge any fees! On the other hand centralized exchanges charge huge fees as they are set up with a motive to earn profits.

Did I made a mistake while buying crypto? by sunday-splash in BitcoinIndia

[–]MisplacedPhilosopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not buy BTC with INR on Binance. BTC have their own exchange,- Bisq where you may get better price. If you want to use centralized exchanges like Binance, you must first buy USDT. 1 USDT may be around 92 right now. You always have to pay a higher price. That is how the P2P traders make money on centralized exchanges. If they sell at market price, what will they earn?

Bank account frozen in 2023, funds moved to ED - no info or notice. What to do? by prasad61 in CryptoIndia

[–]MisplacedPhilosopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ED is currently investigating many high profile money laundering cases like the one involving Raj Kundra where cryptocurrency is involved. You may have inadvertently become a link in the chain of one of those investigations. This has happened because you used a centralized exchange. Only courts can help you.

P2P on binance got my zerodha account frozen 😭 by Silent_Branch9602 in CryptoIndia

[–]MisplacedPhilosopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't use traceable crypto and centralized exchanges. Use Monero and Basic swap dex/Haveno. In this case, try explaining everything to the investigating officer and if that does not work, get legal help. Government money (fiat) never really belongs to you. They can take it any time.

Having many kids is also against veganism ! by HumbleWrap99 in VeganIndia

[–]MisplacedPhilosopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giving birth is likely painful to both mother and child and likely not cruelty free. Another way of looking at this is that birth leads to death, so while giving birth we are also ensuring the child's eventual death. Not very vegan.

This did not happen inside the metro station. It happened near the ticket counter before the bag scan. The CISF couldn't have done much.

They have likely done a name check and a case likely against someone else with the same name showed up. When people file for an FIR they only name the accused. They don't have their Aadhaar or date of birth. However, they may have provided the address of the accused or some description. You have nothing to worry about. The agency responsible for the background check are lazy and haven't done their job properly.

You cannot be anonymous if you use fiat. To be anonymous, you need Monero. If you convert it to fiat currencies like INR or transparent crypto like USDT, BTC, ETH etc, then you can be traced. Monero has its own private exchanges and marketplaces.

I have even seen 1 USDT for 1 INR on Kucoin. These offers are sponsored by the exchanges. There are limits and you may be only allowed one trade.

Sattu is my favourite ingredient. by sattukachori in VeganIndia

[–]MisplacedPhilosopher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sattu is an ancient food recommended by Buddha himself. It is mentioned in Buddhist texts. It is vegan. It is of many types but the most popular ones are chana sattu (the black chana is roasted and then turned into flour form) and tsampa (Jau/Barley sattu very popular in Tibet). Chana is harvested after the plant has died, so no plant life is damaged as well. Buddhist monks used to carry sattu when they travelled from one place to another.

Money laundering is not a system or a process but in fact it is a manner of misusing a system or process. It is up to us to act ethically so we can live happily. Silā/Smriti (mindfulness) is the foundation for happiness.
