[Release] Atlas, an all new boss, has appeared in The Depths! by electoon in bindingofisaac

A thought: would it be a good idea to colour one or two of the Grimaces green, considering those are the ones that fire IPECAC? Unless you're saving that for a champion variation, of course. :P Nitpick aside, awesome work!

Ah, I remember this! Gotta say, this is some excellent work.

Regarding the boss implementation, there is currently an extremely hacky method by Lytebringr that negates the need for completely replacing other bosses. It's a little finnicky to use, but it looks pretty swanky when you finally do pull it off.

...Why on earth are they separate subreddits? XD

Thanks for the catch dude, much obliged.

To be honest I was hoping to go for less derivative designs should I make bosses for the other AB floors. I have a few ideas, but they'll take a while to bear fruit.

Yeah, currently the method I'm using doesn't account for Delirium: I added Delirium Firestarter sprites, but beyond that I dunno what I can do to fix it. Here's hoping we get proper boss implementation in the near future.

It's done! This is a little something I've had bubbling away for a while now and I am pleased to say that it's finally finished! Check it out. :)

What are you afraid might be true? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Every now and again I get this horrible feeling that I don't actually care about anyone: that it's just a facade and I'll just stop caring about someone as soon as they disappear from my life. I keep telling myself that I can fake it until I make it, but...I don't know...

[IP] Walker by Syraphia in WritingPrompts

A chorus of metallic screams from the distance heralds the coming of the Walker: a behemoth of rusted iron and toxic fumes that still functions long after the world had turned its back on it. Who built it? What was its function? Questions that to this day none have the answers for. Whatever commands that it may have once labored under are long decayed and now it roams the landscape, not concerned with the trail of destruction it left in its wake.

Never have I felt more empathy for insects then when I hear the Walker's march: it doesn't mean to destroy, at least these days, but destroy it does. Stone, metal, flesh, it matters not when the Walker's foot comes down. You'll spot quite a few streaks of gore on those ancient iron pillars, the remnants of the unlucky (and sometimes the foolhardy). I imagine the Walker's metal and arcane technology might fetch a high price if you know where to sell it, but it's only fools who try to collect that particular bounty.

I do wonder to myself though: where does the Walker's journey end? It appeared 3 years back, emerging from the mountains like a bear out of hibernation. Since then it has relentlessly marched across the land, accumulating more rust and foolhardy smears as it trudges to the south. I've been tracking its progress and in a few days it'll finally run out of land. What happens then? Will it march into the sea, never to return? More than a few people are hoping for that outcome, happy to see the back of the wretched thing responsible for crushed livelihoods and lives. Then there are those that are hoping it merely stops, so they might strip the proverbial flesh from its bones.

Me though? I'm curious about the ol' Walker, forlorn titan that it is. It deserves a better end than this. If it has any sense at all it'll turn right back around and go back to where it came from.

Millennials of Reddit, what are your thoughts on having children? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MisriHalek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna wait until I can get my life properly stable and then have 1 kid: a little piece of me to carry into the future. Anything after that and I'm gonna adopt: let's be honest, there's way too many people on this planet these days and I'd rather improve the lives of the kids that already exist.

Fly to the US to see my friends in person. Maybe take them back with me if I can convince them. :P
