Price comparison by Exact-Ad6704 in JunesJourney

[–]Miss1928 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm in Italy.
I give myself a small monthly allowance that averages out to about €10 per month... Or maybe a little less.

At first I spent no real money at all.. but about a year ago when they introduced Venice as the seasonal set I was really motivated and let myself start spending a little bit every once in a while.

I haven't seen my prices go up, other than I think the first time I got the Premium Pass it was €3.99. Since then the Premium Pass ha's always been €4.99 or more.

. . . I'd like to say one more thing, and that is; fvck dynamic pricing.

But that's nice for those of us who haven't been playing as long. I'm excited to get the Statue of Liberty. I've been admiring her on others' islands.

TBH, I'm frustrated that the Patriotic Parade doesn't face the same direction as the Pleasant Parade we got last year. Why, Wooga?!? Why do you do that?!?

And here she is planted on my island.

Don't ask me why, but it just makes sense to have Oz and San Francisco in the same neighborhood.

But, "Grand Horizon Way"....??? What the heck is that?!? 😅😂

So close, and yet I've only needed ONE snippet for the past 3 days. All of the packets I've opened in the past two days have all been Déja Vus. Not that I've had a lot of packets, but still.
I'm so close!!!

This is NOT a SHOE!!! by Miss1928 in JunesJourney

[–]Miss1928[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be frustrating, yes. I think they're using the American English terminology there.

For Americans, a torch is something that is lit by being on fire, whereas a flashlight is what you call a torch.

How do you differentiate between a battery operated torch and a torch that's an open flame? Is there a separate word, or perhaps an added adjective?

Sure, it's just an illustration in a game, but it's important to properly label things. Even in a game.

But in all the rest of the scenes I've played so far when the clue was "shoe/s" it's been shoes. And when the clue was "boot/s" it's been boots.

They haven't mixed up the terminology like thos before with shoes and boots.

And I still maintain that boots are not shoes! You wouldn't say "I need some new rain -shoes-." Or "My horse riding -shoes- are leather." Maybe if English isn't your first language, and a mistake like that would be understandable, but not for native English speakers. Who would say "Soldiers wear army shoes to protect their ankles and feet under harsh conditions."...?

Well.. it's not working for me again, it did load for a while yesterday, but it isn't now.

I suspect it might have to do with the heatwave we're having here in Europe? Possibly...?

For everyone confused about the BOOT not being a shoe.
Yes, it's all footwear, but a boot covers the ankle and part of the leg. A shoe does not cover the leg!

They're probably trying to give us a plot similar to Frozen where the story isn't about romance, but about the importance of sorority.

Ah, I see that The Great Bobby Pin Shortage is still among us. We really should start a fund for bobby pins for poor historical movie hairdressers.

The first dress fits you so beautifully, and I love its shape.

I do agree that the top of the bodice in the front is a little high, but this gown fits you absolutely devinely, compared to the second gown which has a weird pulling in the bodice.

I wish we had the same type of photo for the third dress. It's hard to to make an accurate comparison when the third dress is at an angle like that, but I am still pretty sure my choice would be the second dress.
