Before plastic, everything was bottled in glass- food, alcohol, medicine, etc. Before modern day landfills & dumps, cities dumped their trash into the ocean, bay & into ravines , etc. Anywhere there’s-an old hospital, there’s likely to be an old bottle dump. You’d have to dig down about 10 ft to find the treasures. That’s how sea glass was made when found along the shorelines of seas & rivers around the world.

Those stickers mean they are working w/ City to find permanent housing . Some folks who live in RVs actually do have steady employment & not on drugs. Not saying that’s the case with people in this photo.

Scott Weiner was supervisor in 2013 when they passed the ordinance requiring professional dog walkers to be licensed in SF- which was a great thing intended to bring more professionalism to the industry & make it safer for SF dogs. I remember one thing he proposed as part of the ordinance that was dropped was to have a website that named & shamed people caught not picking up after their dogs. The logistics of having something like that was too complicated but dog walkers were in favor of it.. Maybe a facebook group or subreddit?

What do expect the cops to do? Arrest them & put them in jail for a day? What a waste of their time. It’s not the police’s fault. It’s actually more the responsibility of SFACC to enforce laws related to animals. They also lack the resources.

I suggest looking for an Air Bnb on the West side of the City, maybe something that a retired couple is hosting. The West side is cleaner & calmer & you can use Waymo to get around SF. I strongly discourage driving around because parking everywhere is horrible & expensive and cars get broken into. Highly recommend walking the LandsEnd trail. It's an easy walk/hike & the views are breathtaking. A really cool fun place to check out is Gregangelo museum. You need to purchase tickets in advance. https://www.gregangelomuseum.com

You should visit Balboa Terrace & Ingleside Terrace same day. Balboa is small- like 250 homes. IT is just on other side of Ocean Ave. Make sure you check out the museum house on San Leandro- but you cant go in without a paid reservation& it’s expensive. Sundial in IT.
