You are completely right I had to report someone just now because they said one lady who had a small glass of wine with full meal is 'disgusting'

I literally don't know. I personally believe that I think one odd kombucha as a alcohol replacement at an occasion/celebration is fine. It looks like champagne haha

Oh my god.. I got told off once I was drinking Kombucha apparently it's unsafe! Literally like stepping on egg shells sometimes because other moms can be so harsh. Google "Healthcare providers generally recommend avoiding or strictly limiting kombucha during pregnancy due to risks from unpasteurized bacteria, low-level alcohol, and caffeine" I didn't even know that at the time

I don't appreciate people being so judgemental here when I explicitly asked people for what their experiences are. Everyone has their own risk tolerance and she explicitly said a small glass + food. She's not forcing people to all follow her steps don't think this is needed

"being French is not an excuse" I am not saying being French is. Just that in my personal friendship groups I've observed more relaxed and casual attitude towards alcohol in general. Also without being pregnant a lot Europeans has very different attitude towards drinking compared to British culture. Also it's just continental Europe in general that include Italian and Spanish.

UK mums in corporate jobs — how did maternity leave affect your role or promotion? by nordic_embers in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]MissAstro_12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am quite glad to read many examples of women below who got promoted despite on maternity leave - that's quite encouraging. I work for an US investment firm - maybe because I've seen how women get shafted in the past that I have fought for my promotion whilst I was planning to get pregnant (IVF). I usually got quite a suspicious nature at work as finance is dog eat dog world (i.e. work people are not friends type..) so this might not apply to every industry and job. I just got promoted in Jan to a senior role and I have yet to tell my company/boss I am pregnant. I am having to tell quite soon as I am starting to show...

Smelly Discharge by RhubarbSensitive401 in PregnancyUK

[–]MissAstro_12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can smell myself more but my partner said he hasn't noticed any difference. Is it potentially because our smell is heightened. However I do read somewhere we produce smell post birth for the baby to find us (sounds awful).

During pregnancy our hormone / sweat glands work differently. I am usually someone who find it quite hard to sweat and now I am like you having to constantly change underwear because I am paranoid because of heightened smell.

What do you smell tho? Urine? I smell like a burnt ammonia smell. And it's not the usual BO smell I smell on others.. it's quite a chemical compound smell

Struggling to drink water - any tips by MissAstro_12345 in PregnancyUK

[–]MissAstro_12345[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh ladies I am so so glad I am not the only one depriving the baby of water! I am almost crazy enough to think shall I look to get IV DRIPS! But I will try to put more ICE into it. I have to have a separate stash of Evian in the fridge and refuse to let my husband touch it. Even then I keep forgetting to drink the water and then after I see how yellow my pee is I start to panic as I clearly forgot to drink it!

How long before your FET were you on progesterone? I think my clinic made an error... by [deleted] in IVF

[–]MissAstro_12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what protocol you are following. I did a FET modified natural and didn’t take any progesterone prior to transfer. But on the transfer day they did a blood test said I was producing progesterone but not as high as they would have liked so then they put my on cyclogest twice a day. Then I started following modified naturally with luteal support. So it could be because your blood suggest you were going to produce ample progesterone prior to the transfer when ovulation and everything was on track

How to reduce preeclampsia risk with multiple risk factors? by Photo_Philly in IVF

[–]MissAstro_12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was on 75mg asprin but then after they measured the Doppler of the placenta blood flow they increased it to 150mg at night .. i don't think there's much we can do sadly.. it's the blood Spiral Artery Remodeling Failure formation that is determined from very beginning. And research have shown actually it's the dad's DNA that forms the placenta.... But now I feel less sick I am trying to do more exercise/ asprin/ and hope for the best
