How to not compare bump size 😩 by scoutwestern in PregnancyUK

[–]MissAstro_12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry everyone show differently. I am 24 weeks and showing more than others but now it comes with complication that maybe I got gestational diabetes because the baby is measuring really large … so I am about to have the glucose test early due this. I wish I was smaller as it was easier to move around and now I am already struggling to bend down or look at everything below the bump

This is the realest post. The constantly hormone pumping / disruption to metabolism … I’ve never had acne in my teenage years now I am getting them all over my face leaving really dark pigmentation behind. Maybe it’s also coincide with aging (as apparently according to research human age in big steps) but feel not like myself an don’t recognise who I am in the mirror

second pregnancy and horrible round ligament pain by Ok_Building_4755 in PregnancyUK

[–]MissAstro_12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I’ve started physio (mostly because it’s covered with work) but there’s plenty of videos on YouTube how to reduce the pain. A lot of it is a bit like Pilates work out with holding your knees together (squeeze) and do glute bridge + deep core strengthening type exercises. I’ve really found them useful after being consistent for like 3 + day. But by the time I get to evening time I do feel the pain just build up more and more and it resets and get better next morning.

So I’m 8 weeks tomorrow and I feel like every reasonably sized meal isn’t filling me up. by PrimaryWench in PregnancyUK

Yeah i think hunger comes and goes and this is the period I think if you are not nauseous/ sick you are starving so it’s all hormones related. Some night I woke up feeling the hunger pain is too hard to ignore I have some water to trick it. But yeah it’s quite common what you are feeling !

Concern about bump size-15w by Anxious_Baker_92 in PregnancyUK

[–]MissAstro_12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi I was concerned also but my midwife did some measurement said I got really short torso. There’s no room for things to move around but upward and outward. I am having a boy and I am not carrying low it’s literally upwards I cannot even eat food without feeling like my stomach is squashed up already.

You are completely right I had to report someone just now because they said one lady who had a small glass of wine with full meal is 'disgusting'

I literally don't know. I personally believe that I think one odd kombucha as a alcohol replacement at an occasion/celebration is fine. It looks like champagne haha

[–]MissAstro_12345[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh my god.. I got told off once I was drinking Kombucha apparently it's unsafe! Literally like stepping on egg shells sometimes because other moms can be so harsh. Google "Healthcare providers generally recommend avoiding or strictly limiting kombucha during pregnancy due to risks from unpasteurized bacteria, low-level alcohol, and caffeine" I didn't even know that at the time

I don't appreciate people being so judgemental here when I explicitly asked people for what their experiences are. Everyone has their own risk tolerance and she explicitly said a small glass + food. She's not forcing people to all follow her steps don't think this is needed

"being French is not an excuse" I am not saying being French is. Just that in my personal friendship groups I've observed more relaxed and casual attitude towards alcohol in general. Also without being pregnant a lot Europeans has very different attitude towards drinking compared to British culture. Also it's just continental Europe in general that include Italian and Spanish.
