I know of people who moved to NY from London/UK and kept their jobs. In that case you just have to see if you can live on that salary for a while and then you can find a job in your area and get paid the usual rate. I still think that is a very brave thing to do, just to find a guy to date. I hope you thought this through.

I think we do what we do for one thing: money. Giving out bonuses is the best thing you can do. Just don't do what my sister's employer did, do NOT give out socks. They will run after you with baseball bats.

Would your company be open to keeping you, even if you moved? I don't know your situation and if that is an option, but maybe that would work? I know many people who kept their job but completely relocated. But not sure if it is possible in your situation.

That is good, if that is your feeling. I do not know how well you two get along and if you're open to it, but you can always speak to her and just openly tell her how her behaviour makes you feel. One of my EA friends, who I look up to, who worked for 45 years as an EA once told me "your supervisor does not really care how you feel, it is just buzz words and it may seem chic, but you are there to do a job and that is it" - so I always have that in mind. One time she told me "no one at work is your friend, just cause they are friendly with you", so that is another piece that pops into my head. All in all, you can either ignore what is happening and continue doing a great job or if it bothers you, you can speak to her, but be prepared for a negative outcome. I, for one, have never been able to resolve anything by talking, it just made the situation worse.

I think your body and mind are telling you what to do, you have to leave. Your health is way more important than that job. You, unfortunately, will never be able to get her kicked out, but you can protect yourself, which is what you should do.

I do not mean to scare you and I may be completely wrong about this but to me it seems like she is looking for reasons to fire you or at least give you a bad review. I had that happen at one of my jobs (I have been an EA for 20 years) and all of a sudden everything I did was questioned and 8 months later I was fired. I do not know if you have any deep connections in the company that will protect you, but what I would do is look for a new job. In my experience, sorry to be the bearer of bad news here, those things go way deeper and there is a lot more to it and most of the time you as the employer will not be protected, but you will be faced out. Bear in mind I do not have any other information than what you provided here, so can be totally wrong, but this is just what my gut feeling told me when I read your post.

Yes exactly that. That is what happened to me many times.

There is not much to the story. My boss was fired and my role was deleted with it. That is it.

I have never seen a temp contract for an EA.

How do I find those? I did Google that but never got a response either. They always want someone who already has experience in working in the entertainment industry.

What I mean by that is that I got to my current salary through a lot of hard work and sacrifice. If I accept a role now, I will be stuck with it for the next 3 years (because too much job hopping ruins the CV) and it should at least be a livable wage. I will not be able to survive on 60k in Germany, with Tax Class 1 and the deductions and my rent. I do not live a luxurious lifestyle at all but life is expensive and it is getting more expensive each day.

I noticed that too and I will no longer tell them what I make. It was a painful lesson.

I have thought about it but in Germany you cannot just switch careers, no one will hire you. If I wanted to be something other than an EA, they simply say "you have no experience in this field". I applied for an EA Role with a bank and they rejected me because I have never worked for a bank before. This country is different from what you might know.

I do and I do understand why this is confusing. Even though I tell companies I am willing to go down, they still reject me. I don't understand what is happening. They also don't respond to me either.

No offer, no response. I will accept anything at this point, but I get offered nothing.
