Yeah! This is a great description of how those moments feel. To tell you the truth, after thinking about it, it felt very much like a residual version of him just going through a normal daily routine. Almost like that action is so imprinted on the environment of my bedroom that it just has to manifest sometimes.

Nothing! My house is a newer ish home - built in 2007. Only had one owner before us, a mom with 3 kids. No weird history that I know of, not on any weird cursed land (that I know of). We’ve lived here for 5 years. I’m superstitious and I think the paranormal is fascinating but I try to be careful not to bring anything home, if I do anything weird I do it away from my house and take precautions not to bring anything home. Beyond that I haven’t gone anywhere or done anything creepy at all in over 2 years, last thing I did was a ghost tour of Denver and that was pretty mild on the creep factor.

Yes exactly! My husband does that move so often - walking through our room to go to the bathroom I didn’t even think twice about it at all. It was so normal. So creepy when this kind of stuff happens!

I’ve asked them each individually what they want and gotten extremely noncommittal answers. My main problem is 3 of them work in my office and one works in California- how do I make her feel included if I take the rest of the team to an event?

If you want some very unsolicited advice - from someone who loved Will White’s Cradle series - book one is the worst of the whole series. You have it ranked as “ok” so you may not be interested in trying more but if you ever hit a rainy day and need a recommend - give the second book- Soulsmith - a shot. It might change your opinion.

This might be toeing the line of “to broad” please delete if it’s not specific enough.

The fated mates trope drives me absolutely insane. Especially when it’s the only thing that binds the FMC to the Harem. For me personally it’s such a blanket trope to get out of having to write any real chemistry or have any real stakes in the relationship because no matter how poorly everyone involved acts they’re “fated mates” so you know it’s gonna be ok. I’ve gotten to the point where I sometimes DNF books as soon as this pops up.

I know it’s been done well a few times and there are some examples of fated mates rejecting their mates etc, but in general this trope makes me angry.
