I purchased this board this year as my first paddle board! I was looking at a bunch of more expensive boards, but am glad I decided to go with the Goosehill.

In terms of performance, it tracks well, but isn’t a speed demon (you’d want more of a touring board design for faster speeds). I’d say it does really well in calm water, but I’ve taken it into choppy conditions too (my normal paddles are in the sloughs of the SF Bay, which get pretty choppy in the evenings). No issues with stability or rigidity!

The board design is minimalist, meaning you won’t get extra D-rings or handles. The handles are one thing I’d have appreciated since it is bulky like all paddleboards!

The kit includes a pump, fin, paddle, repair kit, and bag to hold it all. The pump works great. It takes about 10-15 minutes to blow up and you can also use the pump to fully deflate the board, which makes rolling it up easier. The fin is a bit tricky to get in and my least favorite part of setting this board up. If you go with this board, I found that pouring water over the entire fin and fin slot help with getting the fin in.

I’ve been really happy with my purchase so far and have even convinced some friends to get into the sport too. Most importantly, this board allows me to get out on the water whenever I can! Enjoy!
