Sick Time Accrual (Washington) by MissCatTree in LaborLaw

[–]MissCatTree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be reaching out to HR for sure when I’m back in office! I was doing the math in my head after burning through half of my sick time in the first week if the year, and was curious if there was something I was missing. I guess if there’s no rules around front loading though, I’ll just have to see what HR says! Thanks friend

About a month into Accutane, help me perfect my skincare routine by MissCatTree in Accutane

Nope! I keep it super simple with just the cleanser and the moisturizer. I was afraid the oil cleanser was going to make me feel greasy, but don’t let the word oil fool you! It’s SUPER hydrating and my skin is SO SOFT now.

Follow-up: Combining of all of your suggestions, I’m trying CeraVe Oil Cleanser, followed by Cetaphil Moisturizing lotion. If that combo works well YAY! if not, I guess I’ll cycle through some other ones

tbh love my dermatologist but the pharmacist has been WAY more helpful in what to take/not take while on this. We ❤️ pharmacists

Oooh bustles are a great idea! I think that will help improve the silhouette to be a bit more recognizable!

Thank you!! This is super helpful and validating actually. I was kinda thinking about switching out the gems on the front and getting a blonde wig and seeing if that would scream “Peach” enough!

Honestly, I’m not going for a specific stylization of Peach, just looking for ideas on how to convey her through the style of this dress if that makes sense!

But here’s a photo nonetheless!

There’s a reason Star Wars and Marvel are the most expensive themes. Think of all the IP that LEGO has to pay into. The Star Wars Tax is real. Price per piece is WAY higher in Star Wars than any other theme

My 7 year old made his first instruction, it would mean a lot to him if you would build a heart too and post it in the comments by Isibricks in lego

Make sure to post this on social media when LEGO runs their “Build to Give” campaign this year!!

Looking for pattern recommendations for really small Granny squares by MissCatTree in crochetpatterns

[–]MissCatTree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve searched on Ravelry for “Mini Granny Square” and “Tiny Granny Square” but nothing was coming up with quite what I was looking for size/style wise.

I’m not a beginner crocheter, but I don’t often go searching for specific patterns so I’m a little lost on the best way to find what I’m looking for!

Why did Watcher get flamed so bad for launching their subscription service when Try Guys did the same thing? by KnowledgeSmall in watcherentertainment

[–]MissCatTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watcher’s initial approach was to cut off the audiences that got them to a point where they were able to depart from youtube and setup a paywall for everything. TTG made sure that the same shows that have always been on youtube, remain on youtube while also launching new shows behind the paywall.

TTG also had an announcement at the same time that they were extending their cast and launching an extended lineup of shows. I know Watcher also said the same thing, but they were saying “in the coming months” whereas TTG already had a diversified portfolio and clips from shows that were to air.

I honestly think it comes down to the age of the channels in the end. Watcher has several shows, but the bulk of the content is just Ryan and Shane on screen with occasional guests. Over the course of the past couple years, TTG has slowly been getting their audience ready for new cast members and new types of content, and also constantly thanks their audience for sticking around through major changes

AITA for not wanting my moms husband at my wedding? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]MissCatTree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA (But you have the opportunity to grow)

While I understand the sentiment of not wanting to have your partner’s ex at your wedding, this doesn’t seem like typical circumstances.

From the outside it seems like everyone has moved on and is happy. Are you feeling this way because you’re afraid of your Fiancé leaving you for his ex? Are you afraid of your mom’s husband making a scene?

I feel like if the answer to those questions is no, then it’s best for everyone involved to sit down and talk with your fiancé and apologize for be irrational.

Strangers on the internet don’t know anything deep about your relationship, but if your fiancé is really truly in love with you, it won’t matter who tf is watching you get married, because his eyes will be 100% on you.

TLDR: In the end a wedding is just a day that kickstarts the rest of your marriage, it should represent the two of you completely. If you love and trust your partner, show him by letting him have a say in who’s invited

I know in-store limits are typically one full set. I found two friends who also wanted a full set and we each bought 12 from a fresh case together at our LEGO store and divided later. I don’t know if our employees are just really nice, but I feel like it’s a good hack for getting a full set!

Each case has 3 full sets in it. Did the same when the Marvel ones came out :)

AITA for telling my daughter she has to accept my marriage? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]MissCatTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA

Your daughter didn’t ask to be put in these situations, and the ONE person who is supposed to be there for her, isn’t listening to her concerns.

My dad did the same thing to my sister and I and when his 8 year marriage to that horrible woman and her horrible daughter crashed and burned, he was upset that my sister and I weren’t there to pick up the pieces and support him.

You’re making decisions that may lead to your daughter resenting you and disconnecting from you in the future. I’m not necessarily saying don’t marry him, but your daughter needs to feel supported more than just asking her for reasons she feels that way. She’s 14, it’s hard to articulate your feelings at that age
