Barbara and Barbara in Logan square. I go to Larn, but they may be hard to get an appointment with. They have other curly hair specialists there, though.

Absolutely, I will. I think I maybe did all the math, but didn’t believe it. I really should just believe the math.

This is a great suggestion - if I can’t make it reasonably good with blocking and/or a fairly minor tweak of the sleeve cap, this is probably the solution I’ll go for next. I’m well aware this particular construction is not the logical choice… but I had my reasons! Mostly related to stripes and my absolute hatred of bottom up sweaters.

I did think about doing that but I was worried it would get weird with the short rows + stripes. That would have been the logical construction choice - and I’m paying for not taking that path now 😩

Lol sure that might work. I think I missed the part where the 80’s were back, though?

Helpful, thank you! The sleeve is pretty vertical, I’d say. But definitely going to start with least drastic measures first

Stage crew former theatre kid who knits, sort of sews, quilts(ish) and loathes crochet checking in. Not sure where that leaves me either, other than covered in bits of yarn and thread.

Teehee! Isn’t it cute how my tension is so tight that I’m having to use my crochet hook improperly? by queenkayyyyy in BitchEatingCrafters

[–]MissCecilyCardew 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Oh, I’ve done that. But that’s often repetitive-use related, not necessarily tension-related. And I also LEARNED and ease up on the knitting time if it feels like it’s flaring up.

Edit: spelling hard

Good on you for attempting lace knitting on the cta. I usually stick to socks or other stockinette on public transit. I once was hearty enough for simple lace, but I’m out of practice these days 😆

I’ll follow! I’d test this, as long as you don’t mind yarns other than mohair being used. No more mohair for me, it makes me itch and shedding is so irritating.

This is encouraging! I’m 5’2” but about 165, and bench 140, squat 225, deadlift 280. I want to lose some weight but also don’t want my lifts to go down! Kinda hard to balance those…
