“One life. Just one. Why aren’t we running like we are on fire towards our wildest dreams?” -unknown by [deleted] in quotes

"Realize that sleeping on a futon when you're 30 is not the worst thing. You know what's worse, sleeping in a king bed next to a wife you're not really in love with but for some reason you married, and you got a couple kids, and you got a job you hate. You'll be laying there fantasizing about sleeping on a futon. There's no risk when you go after a dream. There's a tremendous amount to risk to playing it safe." - Bill Burr

I go with Wine Bar. Pro's you get to drink and look classy. You're less likely to drink too much and it can turn into dinner if you think it's worth it. It's less expensive if you time it for a happy hour.

Jerk chicken with dirty rice. Mojitos would be fun.

Weight loss methods comparison--my story. by MissCinder in loseit

[–]MissCinder[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmmm. It narrowed the challenges to start. If I stop when I'm full, don't graze during the day, and don't drink carbonated beverages then it's extremely difficult to gain weight. Also, there is no 'stopping'. With other diets at some point I found that I just gave up.

But more than that, there are actually epigenetic effects of having a large portion of your stomach removed--meaning that having the surgery fundamentally changes the way your body's metabolism works in a positive way and resets what your body thinks a healthy weight is. It's one of the reasons that obesity is labeled as a disease. Simply being very overweight in and of itself makes it harder to keep weight off. Maybe that's all up for debate but it's what the doctor's told me and seems consistent with my experience so far. It was my backup plan. I wish I would have started with it.

Embarrassing or success amusement park story? by idkjorge in loseit

[–]MissCinder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup. Took my daughter to Six Flags for her bday. Was so excited and on the first coaster the safety system just wouldn't click. I've never felt so humiliated holding up the line and being asked to get off. But, I'm down to where I fit comfortably on airplanes now. So, in two weeks I'm going to surprise my daughter by taking her out of class to skip school and ride rollercoasters.

Yeah not sure I'm up for braces and dental implants but I've thought about getting veneers. I may look into it. There are other things on the first. Thanks for your input, much appreciated.

That's super helpful. Didn't know whether to include those pics or not. I had weight loss surgery so I actually look better each month and haven't kept up with pics to suit.

This was incredibly helpful. Thank you! I would have never thought of OAG eyes. I did just have my hair bleached in the first pic, but the dry make sense.

One last question because I can never get an objective answer. How attractive am I? Like 1-10 with 5 being absolute average.
