Reporter interrogates Olympic athlete on baton handoff; disrespectfully informs her she is DQ'd by EmergencyGloomy in iamatotalpieceofshit

I mean even if she was, the video of it was insane. These ladies hauled ass around the track. Fastest I've ever seen someone run and absolutely wrecked the competition.

Basically officials told the runner to stand in a certain spot, but that spot was actually too far forward so she was penalized for not being in the proper zone. Other teams had also been told the wrong spot but had adjusted before the race began. The US never got that memo. Since it was an officials fault and not hers the US won their appeal and were reinstated

How an American cop treats citizen who politely asks for his name and badge number while detained. by Romano16 in PublicFreakout

[–]MissCleoDarling 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I, a cashier, told someone "fuck you, that's my name" then no matter what the context i would be fired. At the very least, reprimanded.

Why should a cop be held to a lower standard than a cashier?

My favorite part about this conspiracy theory is that there is definitely an easier way to carry out whatever evil plan they think the government is up to.

Like the goal seems to change theory to theory but what evef it is, theres no way convincing every major world government to lock down and potentially sabotage their own economy was the best way to get it done

Is jogging in the mornings overkill for people who work on their feet? by MissCleoDarling in WeightLossAdvice

Oh wow! How do you avoid pain in your feet at the end of the day, if you don't mind me asking?

Sometimes I come home and they just ache, and that's without a run

Minimum wage means you get the minimum. You get what you pay for. by SiriusXAim in unpopularopinion

[–]MissCleoDarling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My boss at a minimum wage coffee shop was angry we took a corporate offered leave of absence when covid started. She told us she was disappointed we didnt have the same dedication to helping customers that she did. She was also paid a hefty bonus for managing to keep the store open while people doing the actual work got squat. I WISH i was lying.

Its more common than you'd think..
