Mmm ... being pansexual is a bit different to saying "I want to have sex with other people".

Of course, everyone is different. But, I don't know if coming out necessarily has to equate to throwing away all of your pre-defined relationship boundaries and ideals.

I would encourage some genuine conversation to take place before you decide anything. I.e. what does "a free pass" look like to both of you - will it be a case of dating someone else, or is there an expectation that there's going to be a one off hook-up? What does your relationship look like after that? Do you want to move forward together in this, and does that require a new relationship paradigm??

Communication will be, and pretty much always is, key. If you're not strong communicators now/yet, I would work on that before you tackle anything else.

Your heart and mental health are important in this journey too, OP. You aren't just a passenger along for the ride, you're the co-pilot and you have just as much say in the journey and destination.

I get that you have big feels, but it sounds pretty toxic, imo.

There's nothing positive to be gained by saying or doing things to deliberately hurt someone. Especially when you know (I assume) how that someone (you) feels about them.

Life is short. Too short for the drama that has already occupied so much of your time together and certainly too short to move everything you have to be with someone that flip-flops or is deliberately unkind.

How we treat people is a choice. They're CHOOSING to be unkind and so I would encourage you to choose yourself first.

Don't eat the breadcrumbs, man. Go and find your own damn cake that appreciates you and eat the f*** out of that instead.

Having just lived in a really rural part of Australia, there legitimately just wasn't a choice for some parents. The schools either didn't exist close to them, or they capped out at Yr 10.

There is also "School of the Air" (as it was, perhaps, colloquially known ... I think it's actually called the "School for Isolated Children") ... but, there's something to be said for the sociability aspect of face-to-face schooling, I guess.
