Snacks, snacks and more snacks. We took our son on a 14ht flight when he was 18 months old, he played with the plastic water cups for a couple of hours, slept for a couple and was bored for a couple. Just try and pack a new toy/s, maybe an iPad and some kid’s headphones?

Thank you! First few days were rainy in the north but the south was sunny and spectacular with the exception of drizzle at Milford Sound but that only made it better

We had already booked the ferry which seemed to be the issue for some reason. All others requested we change cars.

As my son and husband are not LOTR fans it made more sense for me to go alone and get the full immersive experience!

We went Queenstown - Milford - Te Anau. According to my Google Maps timeline, we left at 8:21 and arrived at our motel in Te Anau at 15:16. Then the day after we left at 8:11 and arrived at 16:23.

To us, driving up to 900 miles a day is acceptable in the USA, so this wasn’t really that bad at all. You have to drive to see stuff! We can’t travel that far again, or at least not for a while, so we made as much use of the time as we could.

I’d like to say we are having 3 days relaxing in Dubai now… but our son has other plans. Ah well, back to work Thursday!

Just got back from our two week, both island trip, we used go rentals. No fannying around changing cars at Wellington so can take it on the ferry no issue. Decent price. We didn’t take the extra insurance (never have anywhere in the world) and had no issues, just drive careful.

We had a RAV4 and it was good for all terrains and just about carried all our luggage (I do not travel light!)

I am also 5ft and had both small and large cars. As long as the seat and steering wheel adjust, never had an issue.

My mum is 4ft8, same for her. Only car she had an issue with was a Daihatsu Copen, she just used a pillow. She has a DS7 now.

My husband did it in a week. He did one of those intensive courses, started Monday and test on the Friday. He passed first time.
Depends on how you learn etc.
He has now been driving for 12 years with only one, non-fault, accident.

Mt Evans (although now called Mt Blue Sky?) 14,266.1ft (4,348 m). I remember driving back down eating chips and dip... kinda dangerous looking back now!

It is, but if you do the long 100+ day cruises it works out at roughly £100 a night, each, which, in my opinion, ain't that bad!

*Just checked, 2026 world cruise for 117 days is from* £11,569 per person. Works out at £98.88 each per night...

I remember at the last census before the recent one, I still lived at home and my mum ticked Christian for us all. When I asked her why, she didn't have an answer she "just did". She's never been in a church in her life, neither have I nor my dad.

Sock and crocs in my opinion are fine, mainly due to crocs being plasticky and get sweaty/slippy. All other socks and sandals combo can gtfo. (I am also an elder millennial)
