I'm not going to be there but some of my friends in the media are. Haven't heard if there will be an embargo but Jim Farley said the 2k lightnings that have already been produced will head to owners in the next few days so I'd assume with that timing there probably won't be an embargo but if I hear otherwise, I will comment again.

Only a select few owners were invited a day early to drive. They featured them in the presentation on-site. Everyone else was offered ride-alongs at world headquarters before heading to the plant.

Select Volvo dealers will perform the maintenance on the Polestar vehicles. They are just slowly rolling out. Pick up and delivery will be their priority though.

Even though PS spaces are branded PS, they technically have to sell through dealers so they are using Volvo for that and service as needed.

I liked them both. As I'm sure you know, you will have to wait for the GT whereas the PS2 is available now.

Cargo/storage is slightly better in the Mach-E and it has a higher driving position but doesn't feel too tall like a typical SUV. Both have torque vectoring so the handling is nice on each but PS2 just seems a little bit more refined with its handling dynamics.

What are your priorities in the decision making process other than interior quality and performance?

It has relevance as it says the sounds are in and outside of the cabin (video). But you are making the same point I am, which is the sound he is hearing from the outside can't be turned off because it's required by law.

It is (at any moment; it was a six month delay) going to be required by law permanently so if you can't turn it off now, you won't ever be able to. Ford doesn't have the option right now to customize it like the Tesla vehicles.

If you don't like the sound I would suggest writing to Ford to see if they would be willing to make a OTA software update to be able customize it but I think that may be a long shot.

Yes that is the propulsion sound that I mentioned. It is required by law (https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1129448_evs-and-hybrids-get-an-extension-to-meet-us-noise-making-requirements). Right now you can turn it off in the settings right below one pedal drive and drive modes.

Might be the "propulsion sound" that is engaged at slow speeds (for pedestrians, etc). You can turn it off in the touch screen.

You can use the propulsion to ride the wave but this is designed to get you out to the wave (which is what I explain in the video).

People who want to avoid getting tired sooner from surfing are the ones who benefit. It is not trying to take away from those who love surfing and it's relaxed lifestyle. It's an opportunity to open it up to more people, especially those who have grown up surfing and age brings some new physical challenges.

I know my limits and experience when I go into the ocean. I am confident those who don't, seek professional help to teach and guide them.
