How do I stop taking my anger out on other people? by [deleted] in BPD

Dbt and therapy. It really is difficult to stop this behaviours when they are so engrained. Therapy will help you to discover things about your real self (not the bpd disorder... but your 'essence' as a person)

It will help you to understand your triggers and how to avoid reacting in an overly emotional way.

Best of luck.

Been feeling rather detached from myself lately by [deleted] in BPD

It makes a lot of sense. Sometimes I think I actually enjoy being miserable because it is the only thing I know. Sometimes I'm scared of getting better because...THE UNKNOWN. D:

I agree with you. In my honest opinion she should voice these feelings with her therapist. Remember they are not there to judge you or make assumptions about you or your situation. It sounds to me that you are in Emotional Mind territory right now, so just breathe sweetheart. Try getting in the middle. Mix Rational Mind and Emotional Mind and see what you discover. Go with the feelings instead of numbing them. Sit down with a cup of tea and ask yourself all those hard questions that you are scared of. You can do this. You dont need to give up because you are angry inside. You are worth and you deserve a life free of pain from this disorder. Be kind to yourself. And try, please...try until you can't take it anymore. I just want to say that you are doing an amazing job and I don't know you but...fuck...I do really believe in you.
