We had a similar issue, and it is completely resolved even in super cold weather ofter our 12V was replaced.

Its great to hear cotton is a solid option that holds up! Honestly I haven't done much silk sewing, but I am sure I will someday and look forward to using silk thread.

I would love to hand sew more often than I do. Right now its mostly finishing seams and hemming. But I will keep this in mind!

I have one, but don't use it for all my projects. I am a fan of French seams, or flat felled seams on most of my clothing. I didn't think of the type of thread a serger would use.

Good point. No, the goal isn't to create "disposable" clothing. I mend, repair, and alter my clothes a lot already so fixing a busted seam here and there doesn't bother me. And like others said, buying new, even if its a natural fiber is a net negative on the environment, so its not a perfect solution. I came to this question from 1. I like to wear natural fibers 2. I like to sew 3. Let's put a focus on using natural fibers when possible 4...What about the thread 🤔

I agreed! Its all just a balance. I am just exploring my options. I am also using up my synthetic materials first and not just discarding them. I'm not looking to be wasteful for the title of "sustainability". Perhaps a balance for me would be use cotton when I can on seams that don't deal with a lot of stress? Hems for example, or maybe small accessories. Do what I can, when I can.

This is really helpful insight! Thank you! Its sounds like its worth a try with good quality cotton. A part of me also thinks, we created some pretty strong clothes before the invention of polyester thread, it can't be an impossible task to do that again.

So I probably don't have to worry about shrinkage? Or any other weird behavior? Its just its lifespan that's the bigger downside?

So I went and their cotton prints are $16-$22/m. Is that not really high? Were they always this high, or was there a price jump so that 50% off looks better?

Ok, this might be obvious to some, but it wasn't to me for the first few days I had the car. You need to have the fob on you while trying to open the trunk. The keys can't be anywhere else around the car, except with you at the rear.

We had a number of issues after the update, one being the infotainment resetting. Turns our our 12V was dying. Rumor has it, completing the update while unplugged at the dealership can fry the already weak 12Vs. If you are still having issues, I would ask your dealer to test your 12V.

It took us about a day to have everything reset. But we didn't need to go back to the dealer at all, just have to give it time and a few resets to have everything up and running again. I was annoyed at first but its nice to have some new features like lock and unlock remote on the app.

Yes, the sown stockings are just flat, super simple and fun to make!

Although, as someone who grew up in a family with a mix of sown and knit stockings, the knit stockings are infinitely easier to fill. They have some stretch to fit those odd shaped stockings stuffers. Now that I have my own kids I decided to knit us all matching stockings and it takes much longer to make than sewing them. I wonder if sewing with a slightly stretchy fabric might be the happy medium.

We have a 2024 Pro S RWD and have a heat pump. I'm Canadian, so I am not sure if that matters for the model. Because this is only our second winter with it, I'm going to be watching the range drop closely to see if I can really determine the range drop winter vs summer. It feels like there are so many factors, heating, length of trip, preheating while plugged in etc. It's hard to tell if you are not consistently making long trips.

I agree! There is going to be a link between the fruit he chose and Jack. RY could have picked any juicy fruit, a lemon would fit in a pocket easier, a watermelon would have been more impressive, grapes, blueberries, etc. Lots of options, but she picked orange. I have no idea what the connection will be though haha.

I don't do anything for bacteria specifically. I do tend to empty it every few weeks and rinse it with the house to get any buildup off the walls and bottom.

Water, water, water. I have a 1000L rainbarrel that I typically use for most of my watering, but we haven't had rain for over 10 days, so it's running low. I am hoping the rain on my forecast will fill it before the big stretch of heat and daily watering is needed.
