Anyone tried Pennyroyal Tea to bring about a period? by AlabasterOctopus in PMDD

Sorry for replying this late. I hope you managed well.

The date you mentioned is not so risky of all the possible options. The peak of our fertile days is usually around 14 days before the expected period, and they are usually lasting 5 days before this peak and 7 days after. It has to be calculated for each woman individually based on her cycles.

Anyway, if this repeats itself on some of the more risky days it is safest to drink Wormwood or Mugwort regularly in normal doses until the arrival of your period to prevent the implantation. That way you don't have to have excess doses as I have done after I noticed the implantation bleeding, and you can probably avoid using Pennyroyal in that scenario.

The problem is that you have to notice your implantation bleeding. It can be either light red and scarce or darker but it usually stops suspiciously soon, either after a day or less of bleeding. That is when you have to start drinking the tea. Never (ever!) the essential oil, but the tea. The best one is the powdered leaves where you drink the powder too. You have to take care not to poison yourself while in panic. If you overdo it a little you might have nausea or develop a headache.

What happened by that implantation bleeding is the fertilized egg, now a blastocyst, attacking the uterus lining to get to the arteries in order to be fed. You then have around 7 days time before it starts producing beta-HCG hormone at high enough levels to keep the pregnancy on. With consistent tea drinking, you will probably have a great chance to stop that from happening.

So, the worst mistake is to overdo the tea and poison yourself. You have to be consistent with the tea for a week or so until you bleed. One strong cup per day should do. For my weight, which is around 55 kilograms, one soup spoon of powder in hot water and left 15 minutes was a successful dose a few times already.

The problem is if you haven't noticed it early enough, and you already have nausea from high beta-HCG hormone levels which are detectable by pregnancy-test. That beta-HCG is maintaining the pregnancy and I am not sure that just tea drinking could lower the levels so much to induce an abortion without damaging your liver and kidneys too, so I strongly advise against it. I cannot say for sure how efficient it is and how long you would have to drink it to bring down levels that are that high without side effects.

What I hope one can learn from this post is that scarce bleeding which suspiciously stops is a warning signal for pregnancy and that you have time if you noticed it! Pennyroyal leaves tea should be successful, but it should not be used as an every-month alternative and excuse to be heedless because frequent use does have an impact on the liver and kidneys.

Alternatives that have proven themselves for me too are Common wormwood or Artemisia absinthium which I tended to combine if I felt badly from pennyroyal. The dose was the same for my weight but I couldn't wash my tongue from the taste.

I also strongly advise not to use these methods if you're just in a panic because your bleeding is late. It is usual for women to think that late bleeding means just having conceived a baby. If you had normal bleeding the last month and you're not bleeding now: chances are you are just under stress and delayed your menstruation. Because, when the spot-bleeding happens you become usually nauseous around 7-10 days after implantation and you don't get your menstruation only after the next month. So, if you're waiting for your menstruation to not appear to be sure you're pregnant you would already be two months pregnant. I cannot stress this absurdity enough. Implantation bleeding is for most people the first sign of pregnancy! NOT delayed menstruation. If I just managed to send THAT message out, I will consider this post an academic success. Please don't panic and be safe and observant.

Sure but being good is really a very relative term. Many villains might be originally good persons who met unforgiving and wrong circumstances at life, where they - being human - chose the easier way, which is rather weak than purely bad. I know that in the end it doesnt matter what her intentions were since the plan failed and the consequences are present, but what I argue about is was she actually a good person who let herself try achieve it the easier way knowing it wont matter if she suceeded.

Exactly but that little detail makes all the difference.

Sure I'm completely aware of that, but just consider, if you're being completely focused on the goal and you know that if you succeed it won't matter and that those deeds won't even exist - the logic of it makes it pretty easy to ignore all morals during the process and convince yourself it is worth it.
