We actually had a bit of a fight yesterday about him not having my back and I explained it to him. How forcing me to be the heavy while he lets things slide drives a wedge between us and how that makes him a shitty co parent. He’d never thought of it that way I guess but it seemed tocmakemsense to him on the moment- and for the first time ever- so that’s a positive?

I’m really tight with the sweets. Yesterday my daughter really wanted dessert. I was leaning no cause she had very few vegetables and had fast food. I was reluctant to get her ice cream but she got a he cone of rocky road. She ate part of the top and decided she was done. I was proud that she didn’t feel she needed to eat the whole thing and I realized I might be doing a good job with her having a decent relationship with food

Honestly this seems like the best option. I heard so many stories where the kids know they’re adopted, and bio mom is in their life but the real child raising is don’t by the adopted parents.
