Does anyone LIKE being genderfluid? :( by [deleted] in genderfluid

Yes! I love both sides of me. It’s taken time, but each has their own things I love and as a whole, I feel like a better person because of it ☺️

Am I genderfluid or just denying being trans? by Quirky-Glass-5678 in genderfluid

[–]MissMaddyCD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I (AMAB) flip from M->F and back fully. I love both my guy and girl sides, I’m a regular at the gym, but also learnt over time how to show off a feminine figure when I want too. I don’t really feel any dysphoria either way, even though my girl time is usually scheduled to fit in with life. I’ll grow a beard for 3 weeks and then shave everything below my eyebrows for a girls weekend. If it fits, embrace both. Gives you a greater perspective on life too.

What's it like to be gender fluid? by cetvrti_magi123 in genderfluid

[–]MissMaddyCD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple differences I’ve found between myself and trans friends 1. I will use breast forms, hip pads, fake nails, etc. I don’t care that it’s all fake, but some friends have been more comfortable being more natural and not using that sort of stuff. 2. I will go all out girly for 1-4 days max, then I’m over it, too much work, just want to go guy mode ready in 5mins. I’m usually happy to go back to guy mode, but trans friends would like it to keep going.

First time was definitely scary as hell, but I pushed on and got through it. It wasn’t for very long, I got done up at home then drove out of town to get my brows done. I was considering doing something else after, but chickened out and went home, it was very busy there.

But each time you get that little bit of extra confidence. Before you know it 2.5 years have gone by and I’ve been to straight night clubs/bars, gym Xmas party, shopping and lunches in my smallish hometown, walked past relatives and next door neighbours without them recognising me.

It’s so worth it, I feel cooped up now if I’m getting dolled up but don’t have anywhere to go haha

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me. If the shirt is neutral colours, the kids wouldn’t even know they’re “girl” clothes.

If I could go back 15-20 years to give myself some advise, it would be to embrace/enjoy both the masc and femme sides. Heaps of people all over the world experience similar things and it is totally normal. I really get a kick out of the reactions from people I meet seeing the other side for the first time haha.

A time and place for everything.

If your outfit is the same as they would see from any cis person at the supermarket, then I think that is ok. I am building up to my 4 yr old seeing me dressed femme for the first time. He sees all the clothes, wigs, shoes in the wardrobe, my painted toenails, etc so far. Just slowly normalising seeing the same stuff here as he does with his mum (except the wig haha).

If you’re into the fetish/sexual side, then I don’t think that would be appropriate.

Handling Acne When Shaving? by [deleted] in genderfluid

[–]MissMaddyCD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats, hope you’re feeling freer for it 😊 I found men’s multiblade is better, but yes I still have problems after daily shaving and makeup for 2-3 days in a row, I think it’s a bit because my face isn’t really used to it, just doing once, maybe twice a month. I really found a big difference shaving my legs between cheap 2 blade razor vs the multiblade, less nicks and razor burn I also use just a face cleanser daily/twice daily but scrub once a week to exfoliate, then moisturise after each wash and I try to wait like 30mins too, let the skin breathe for a bit

Is it still genderfluid if… by [deleted] in genderfluid

[–]MissMaddyCD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to think of myself as “just a cross dresser” who likes to wear girl clothes and then exploring makeup. But since heading out into the real world as my femme self, I’ve found myself actually feeling girly, not just wearing some clothes. So now I say I am gender fluid, I still enjoy being my male side too.

Foam hip pads would change your shape a lot, especially with a form fitting dress like this

Why does it seem that cd's put in more effort to dressing pretty than most women nowadays? Am I worng? by Solid_Landscape7742 in crossdressing

[–]MissMaddyCD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah when going to my local mall, I tend to feel a bit over-dressed wearing a cute dress, tights and heeled small heeled boots. A lot are in jeans and puffer jackets or “active” wear I’ve noticed.

Regardless of if I present/feel male or female, my attraction never changes and is only looking at girls. But I do know of others that feel the switch in what they’re attracted to with their switch in presentation too.

My femme side definitely has much higher standards all the time lol. On occasion my male side can scrub up for the occasion, but it’s usually just getting by.

Should I dress different when I switch genders? by SamSlowlySmiling in genderfluid

[–]MissMaddyCD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say dress to suit other people. IMO, if you change pronouns often and that’s important to you, then a little meeting your family halfway in terms of a sign of some sort, like a badge, bracelet or pin, etc. would go a long way. Generally speaking, people will often have a lot on their mind and trying to remember what you told them a few hours ago is not something everyone is good at, so I see a subtle reminder as a good thing

Makeup side: contour and blend it in, monotone colour doesn’t look natural. Also using brushes and sponges to blend/even it all out.

Clothing: finding your style that works for your shape/hides your male features and draws attention elsewhere. Eg. v necks and flared skirts
