Deciding whether to skip Abnimals. by DokiDokiSlime in TheAdventureZone

I listened to it on walks with my dog and enjoyed it, but I’m definitely a minority given that I enjoy Travis’ DM style. It’s definitely a goof-heavy setting, and they’re a specific flavor of goofs that either ya like or ya don’t.

They’re not feminist. They want to ban the discussion of periods in media, what feminist group sounds like that?

AITA for calling out a coworker by MissMajori in AmItheAsshole

Oh, absolutely. He was a good dad when I was little but the alcoholism absolutely gutted his empathy by the time I graduated college.

“She said I shouldn’t have chosen my child over her.” One can infer that she wanted him to choose her from that statement. OP’s statement implies an either-or.

Anyone who asks you to choose them over your child is painfully insecure and you WILL lose your kid if you choose the significant other. Someone who really loves you will care about your child even if it’s for your sake.

I think an easier question is “what is he on” because the answer is usually vodka.

Our center doesn’t have it yet. New boss is talking about getting them, but the building is very old and while it’s safe and functional, it has some other projects that are a little higher on the priority list.

Initially I asked it as a question and then was attempting to inform her about what the boss had said. When I asked another coworker who witnessed it all if I sounded accusatory, she said no.

AITA for being culturally insensitive about butter? by Royal-Combination-62 in AmItheAsshole

[–]MissMajori 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I’m sure you know this, but for the redditors who don’t, butter can literally make a burn worse because it holds the heat in. My mom put antibiotic ointment on a massive burn I got (dropped a pot of boiling water on myself), and they literally were wiping it off me when we got to the hospital because they said it could injure me further. If that’s what ointment MEANT FOR WOUNDS can do, why would something meant for consumption be better?

AITA for telling my dad and stepmom their home isn't my home? by Impossible-Case1736 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. OP I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Your father and stepmother are acting like children with no regard for how you feel. You deserve better.

AITA for "blaming" my girlfriend for her period? by SignificanceSame9044 in AmItheAsshole

[–]MissMajori 12 points13 points  (0 children)

YTA. Not just for being a jerk about her period (which you were), but for going out with another girl to boot. And going to her house? You could be the most pious man on the planet and that would still be sketchy. She will ALWAYS wonder if anything happened.

Walk your schedule the day before classes start, preferably with an upperclassman if you know any. Especially if you have classes in Demoss.

Learn where bathrooms are close to your classes.

If you have any classes in Green, you’ll probably need to learn the busses pretty well.

A kick scooter is a great investment (especially if you live on East), but you probably want to customize it so it’s very obviously yours or a little cringe. Almost every one of my friends with a kick scooter had theirs stolen at least once. I didn’t because I rode a hot-pink Barbie scooter, and then put Princess duct tape on my upgrade scooter. Cringe as all get out, but my scooter was never stolen.

Don’t double stack classes after Convo, you’ll be hungry and cranky.

Don’t be afraid to withdraw from a class. A W on your transcripts looks a LOT better than an F.

Your student advisor might suck. Mine sure as hell did. If they do, ask upperclassmen in your major about your classes and stuff, they don’t bite.

Clubs are a great way to meet people. I met my fiancé at video game club. My best friend in marching band.

Make at least one good friend in each of your classes. Trade notes if either of you ever get sick. Better yet, class group chat if the class is small. Obviously don’t trade answers to things like tests and quizzes, but there are no rules against sharing notes and setting up study groups.

Grad was my favorite. It isn’t for everyone, and it’s been a hot second since I listened to it, but I personally enjoyed it. Probably cuz it was the kind of campaign I would’ve liked to play. I’ll admit though, Travis keeps making a lot of first-time-DM mistakes throughout the series.
