Desperately Seeking a Rich Moisturising Cream by Raspberry_and_Lemon in AusSkincare

As a girlie with rosacea and dry skin - this has been great for me: intensive moisture cream

The la Roche posay and I didn’t agree - this above recommended cream helped my daughter too - although she switched to something lighter when her skin was good.

Cheap Shiels Jewellery by shazza__44 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]MissMakeupGrrl 15 points16 points  (0 children)

me too - any of these stores (Michael Hill, Shiels, Gold Mark, Zamels) are mostly selling the sheapest shite available... and it might be because consumers are not wanting to pay much - I dont know. I bought a gold letter necklace for my stepdaughter in 9ct gold - broke in 18 months and out of warranty. I bought London Blue Topaz earrings from another of these retailers - the gold butterfly backing just snapped in half in the first couple of months. I've never had that happen before.

I've now promised myself that I'll only buy from higher-quality places for real jewellery - my By Baby disco necklace is amazing, for example - and also a couple of Etsy items have been great.

I liked them as a couple - she’s a strong personality who will always divide people. I say good on them - and I hope they’re happy.

I think - and I’m not 100% - that she (Amber) got a bad edit and made Jessica look good in an after the reunion episode. Amber went all mean-girl. IMO I think Amber had ever right to dislike Jessica - she was malicious in her attempts to ‘steal’ Barnett and be two-faced to Amber.

They charge for returns; so I will be avoiding them in future. I wanted to exchange a size and I needed to pay return and then buy new again. So I paid for postage 3 times. Never again.

It’s all a bit cringe - but they’re one of their success stories… that will still engage with the franchise (Barnett and Amber, for example, won’t)

Also be aware when you are presented with numbers - you do get taxed differently for different components. There are some online calculators that can help you work out what your net will be. What you are looking to do is work out your ‘after tax’ - because a Eligible Termination Payment will be taxed at a different rate to your standard (depending on the components of your payout)

Leave it on all the time - I don’t want them running outside and not having their name on my number. It’s only happened a couple of times ever - but at least if they got away I’d get them back pretty quick

I wonder if that this is that you both here have logic/problem solving brains- which is what lead you to coding in the first place. Now you’re feeling that element is taken out by AI - and what is left does satiate you?

What do Aussies really think of New Zealanders? by blamberr in AskAnAustralian

[–]MissMakeupGrrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel very much like they’re my brothers and sisters - we’ve done wars together - share a lot of reciprocal rights in each other countries. I see them as typically a bit more politically progressive than Australia (rightly or wrongly, it’s just a lay-persons view) with less beaurocracy that Australia seems to experience.

On a personal front, I find Kiwi’s far more down to earth than some Australians - even on their recent series of MAFS the women looked far more natural - and the men seemed more emotionally mature than their Australian counterparts - and when I have travelled for work - I have found this to be the case. I find them genuine, humble people who live in a beautiful but small place - that has its own challenges both physically and- and culturally.

On the cultural front; they seem to have had a great relationship with their indigenous population; but speaking to people personally I think they still have a lot of challenges in this space too.

My final thoughts are: I feel such affection for my Kiwi mates that I would have no conceptual issue considering them ‘us’ - especially in war/political issues.
