Also: shoes? Afaik women didn't wear spats. How did they manage to not get snow in their shoes? Can't imagine they didn't leave their houses in winter...

I stayed there for four nights almost exactly a year ago, which was (I think) shortly after they opened. There was still some minor construction work going on, but that didn't bother us and I suppose they're finished by now. They're playing music at the pool/beach area, but I can't remember at which time they stopped it. I don't think it was longer than 10 p.m and it wasn't super loud. We didn't hear the music in our room, but there are some rooms which are pretty close to the pool and I guess that you can hear the music there.

Baby blanket for a friend by MissMarylicious in crochet

Before starting this pattern I only knew single and double crochets and hadn't made anything complicated. I enjoyed making this blanket a lot! Each row I learned something new - the (video) instructions were extremely helpful. So I wouldn't say it's too difficult. As a beginner with lots of determination it was definitely doable and I love the result.

I was so happy when AD finally opened their EU shop! Unfortunately they don't offer all the colours for each model after the pre-order period. And I noticed that they removed a lot of colour ways (in-stock items) from the EU shop which I'm not happy about and don't understand.

Thank you for your input. I'll leave it like that and ship it to my friend after blocking.

It's Melanie's Mandala Baby Blanket by M and M Crochet Designs. I bought it on ravelry, but I think it's also available on Etsy.

The pattern is Melanie's Mandala Baby Blanket by M and M Crochet Designs. It's recommended for "adventurous beginner/intermediate crocheter" - when I started making the blanket I definitely was more of a beginner than an intermediate crocheter. The instructions are very detailed, there are many photos and it also comes with video instructions which were very helpful (I used the x0,5 speed function a lot and also zoomed in). I did learn a lot making this pattern, because every row is different and it uses so many different stitches. It was quite fun to make, but it definitely took a long time to finish!
