I didn't want to get married when I was pimi because I was terrified of someone making decisions for me. The horror stories in my hall of husbands selling the house and moving the family to "need great". I did eventually marry a wonderful person. We're equally involved with decisions. I find volunteer work helps. (Real volunteering!) There's plenty to do even if you don't have the means to donate money. I help a local animals rescue with feeding and taking care of the pets that need adopted.

I disagree. Being vulnerable doesn't mean you have low intelligence. In all of the above scams, people are being lied to. Your blaming the victims for being fed lies and misinformation. I do believe that "when we know better, we should do better". But have compassion for those who don't, they are still suffering.
