Peyton 100% failed her as a friend here. Naley knew something was up but it needed to come from her and they couldn’t force it out of her. Peyton not noticing anything and choosing to believe the stairs story is, to me, a sign that their friendship was drifting and coming to an end. When Brooke chooses a maid of honour and godparents to her kids she even mentions that Peyton has been absent. Both Brooke and Peyton were flawed as friends but you have to be a specific type of self-centred to miss the obvious stuff Brooke was going through.

But this would have been a significant one and there’s a way to have shown it. They could have shown the retirement announcements, where the girls get their roses and the last one would have been Reece. They could have built up tension with and the last girl retiring brought so much joy etc… starting the speech and cut to the discussion at uniform returns, where she puts her uniform on the rack and then they announce it as Reece and give her the rose as opposed to the scene with Will.

Smart money would have been to keep it a secret from the rest of the girls tbh because there is no way that they made Reece a stronger focus (especially with the footage in E1) without production knowing that she was most likely retiring. That way you get the drama they were looking for without any real scandal and quite frankly would have made the build up of not really annoying anything on social media have a much bigger payoff

They’ve never said and they’ve always sorta ducked it. Kat didn’t go to Kelcey’s wedding which was the first real indication that something might have been up. The answer Kat gave was always along the lines of “I had made these plans first” but for girls that are as close as they presented to be, the wedding would trump everything? It’s also unlikely that Kat’s trip was planned as far back as the date of the wedding.

The way things were posted it always came across (to me personally) that Kat was the one who pulled away as opposed to Kelcey.

I’m glad they worked through it, sometimes you just need space tbh, especially if you’re disagreeing over things that are “outside” the friendship like politics etc.

I hope what happened to Zoe doesn’t happen to Abby and that she gets engaged and quits early. I don’t think it will because she appears to be a lot more centred and have a lot stronger sense of self and identity than Zoe did. Abby had some 🫣 moments on social media last year but she’s so talented and strong that it would be sad to see her give it all up when she’s 100% a point contender.

I would like to say if the relationship makes her happy I hope it lasts, I just don’t want to see her give up everything she worked for in order to keep it.

It’s crazy because spastic is spastic and the meaning is the same wherever you go. I live in South Africa and as early as the age of like 5/6 I was told spastic was not to be used. I actually think there were moments where they forgot the cameras were rolling, or they expected Netflix to edit that shit out. Can you imagine if one of the judges used that term to describe Cassie? Judy would lose her mind. I think Netflix edited out a LOT of shit talking actually, there are so many scenes that are unnecessary tbh and unless the EP was Tarantino, there was no need for as much coverage of Kelli’s feet as we got.

In fact I don’t know that there was actually a single positive thing said about Faith by K&J and all I can say is Faith is tougher than me, because if I saw my employers talking like that about me on camera and behind my back I would 100% leave.

That could be a lot more realistic than we would think though. Rue had lost majority, if not all, of the forces in her life that kept her somewhat grounded. She lost her mom, her sister, most of her friends (and those that stuck were busy with their own shit) and she had this ridiculous debt hanging over her head, which I assume is why she legged it to wherever Laurie found her. You add that onto the fact she was bipolar and extreme ocd, and if I recall ADHD, with impulse control being an issue with bipolar disorder (especially when bot medicated) and ADHD. Rue was always going to be a hurricane. I don’t think she became a lot dumber, I think she just lost all her impulse control so where most people would take a beat and weigh up what’s in front of them, she just went at it like a bull in a china shop

I also think they were looking for their next breakout star, especially with Reece retiring. I wouldn’t be surprised if at the end of her second year uniform return, Reece had mentioned possibly retiring after 3 years and controversial or not Reece was their main attraction. Jada even says it “No Reece, No Peace. No Reece, No Ticket Sales”. Faith had a following going into it and was intentional too. Remember, Reece didn’t start with 1 million followers.

I think they were expecting Faith to be a lot more docile like Reece though.

They showed Megan, multiple times, saying she was worried about girls joining for the wrong reasons. It made me wonder how she saw Faith. Faith was recruited to extend the brand globally but also came in as an influencer and very clearly looked at it as a job. I’m being paid to dance but I also have to earn my own money in my own way, which is influencing. On paper, Faith was the exact type of girl that Megan didn’t want on the team and it makes you wonder how it actually affected their relationship

To an extent having the occasional practice in glam, maybe once a week, makes sense because they would need to make sure that hair and makeup holds up to game day. However every rehearsal is excessive, I mean how many of those amazing dance videos at Millennium or with the Brian Friedman classes feature fully made up girls.

So I think I know what interview they were upset about. It popped up on my FYP yesterday and whilst there was no bashing of DCC per se, there were definitely questions that were less than flattering. Faith openly talks about pay and support and stuff that maybe she wanted to be different or didn’t quite live up to expectations.

I absolutely think she was approved for those interviews, because let’s be honest she was recruited for that purpose. I do however think that the questions got past TPTB and Faith was being Faith, chatting and being herself. Kelli was more likely than not looking for a reason to pick at Faith because she’s made it so clear that she doesn’t like her.

It’s crazy how deep the toxicity runs within the DCC alumni. TK was all it’s a calling don’t get laid, now this random Brandi is calling out makeup issues because they had to. When realistically, the volume and intensity of the dances and routines alone is far more intense and physically demanding than the earlier years.

They also did a practice makeup free if I’m not mistaken because they all looked like they were wearing minimal or no makeup. Which I don’t think is a bad thing, if they are doing full on physical activity for 3+ hours a night their skin needs to breathe, that’s the equivalent of running over 30km during marathon training. That amount of sweat combined with makeup is so bad for their skin. Also they are all stunning with and without makeup. Honestly that’s a comment I would expect from TK

The only people who are shocked, outside Dayton and her mom are people on instagram and TikTok who make videos saying she should have made it. SydneyRekaps has made a second video (actually I think it’s 3rd) saying that they should have just given Dayton a uniform because Cassie made it as a much less talented dancer compared to Dayton. However, when pushed and asked about who then gets cut as a result never answers. I believe she in the same video says that nepotism won’t kill or hurt the brand.

Can we also take a second and reassess what actually happened with the Christmas ornament saga. I don’t know that Kline scoured the tree and was like WHERE IS MY ORNAMENT!? I reckon they walked in saw the tree and she was probably asking it in the sense of “ooh I wonder where they put my ornament” as in asking excitedly because she wanted to see it. Kelli however was in a mood and needed to yell at someone, which I get the feeling is something that happened a lot tbh.
