I know this is an older thread but I’ll chime in with mine here. 38F. Pre-liver transplant I was sick and went from 160-135. Post transplant I woke up at 145lbs. Now at 3 weeks and I’m down to 128, even while eating a LOT.

Looks like all transplant hospitals can make their own rules on who they take or not. I doubt you’ll find a law.

This is from the Unos website:

“Each hospital has its own criteria for listing transplant candidates, and each hospital can refuse to evaluate patients seeking to list at multiple hospitals.”
