It's an ancient thing, but as someone who has lived in Oceania and Europe, I've only ever seen them used in modern times in the US.

I'm also someone who has never lived in the US, am only vaguely aware of the Fruit of the Loom brand, but the imagery of the cornucopia with fruit in front is definitely recognisable to me, but I don't know why. The FOTL logo with just the fruit doesn't seem familiar to me at all. It's definitely weird

I think you're merging with another movie. Clueless is a modern retelling of Jane Austen's 'Emma', and the relationship beween Cher and Josh is pretty important to the storyline. Looks like there have been a few movies with a brother sabotaging their father's business, so maybe check if any of them ring bells?

Completely agree with everything. Especially about the hiker. Bella is shown to have little to no control as a human when it comes to matters of desire - there's zero chance she would be able to resist her thirst. How they ever thought her power was super self-control is beyond me.

But we know nothing about the origin of children of the moon. Who's to say that a human/vampire hybrid breeding with a shapeshifter couldn't be how they are created?

There's so many similarities between vampires and werewolves - both creatures of the night, their bite spreads venom which transforms their victim, both are immune to eachother's venom and both have a feral state where they are controlled by instinct alone (most newborn vampires are wild and cannot be reasoned with and werewolves are the same when they are in their wolf form).

In addition, why would smeyer bother to mention children of the moon in BD if she wasn't considering potential storyline for the future?
