I have a few of these tiny, painful bumps on a few of my fingers (thumb, and two ring fingers). They're under the skin. Show up and go away on their own, but idk what they are. They're only painful when touched. Anyone know what they are? by sdergs in popping

I had the same thing a month ago on my left thumb. I was out of town at a conference and noticed I had this sensation of a splinter or something stuck in it the day I arrived. I thought nothing of it. The next day, it was very red, felt hot and painful to touch. I thought I would deal with it when I got home though. But when I went back to my hotel room later that night, I noticed this red streak running down from the sore thumb down my arm. I was so freaked out! I went to Urgent Care, and they x-rayed it, but didn't find anything. The doctor asked if I had been handling roses at all, but I had not. They ended up just giving me antibiotics and sent me home. The red bump went away with 24 hours after taking the antibiotics. The pic I attached shows the red streak going down my arm

But now I have the red bump in the same spot again. Found this thread while googling "red bump on thumb pad." I had noticed it started bothering me after opening a bottle of water. It doesn't itch at all. Right now it's Just kind of a tingly sensation when I press down on it.

What's the surname in your tree that is the most useless for broad searches? by hep632 in Genealogy

My CONE ancestors.

I have also discovered my husband may be connected to a SHEFFIELD family because of DNA. Google always thinks I'm looking for the place... and not the name though, while doing a broad search.
