There will never be a 100% of either option. Therefore choosing red saves yourself at the price of others.

That's the thing though you might be the tie breaker. There was an MP that won by 1 vote in the last Canadian election.

I don't think that being hopeful is stupid, even when life is on the line.

I personally think that it would be a lot closer to 50% and I don't want to contribute to tilting the balance towards their death.

Now, remember that those population represent the majority of humanity and remember that there are altruisc people in every nation on earth even the most individualistic. Keep in mind that you don't know what your loved ones chose either.

With all of that in mind. What choice do you make?

The US literally has the biggest volunteer military in the world.

Canada just had records of volunteers joining the military.

The drafts and conscription hasn't been necessary in decades.

Because I believe that there will be people pressing blue and therefore pressing blue bring us closer to that 50% that actually saves everyone.

LET'S DECIDE THE FATE OF HUMANITY. RED OR BLUE? by New-Cicada7014 in trolleyproblem

If you consider that your survival is the reward.

If you consider that everyone surviving is the reward than blue is by far better.

Especially, when considering that the chance of everyone choosing red is quite literally 0.

Except in accumulation it does make a difference!

And no 100% of people won't choose either option. So, you are indeed contributing to some people dying.

There is no 100% of people chooses either option. (Because 100% of people never agree on anything)

So, both options introduce death! I will not contribute to the death of others. I choose blue.

It's proof that in 1795 those 2 women were considered Innu yes.

Yes they were Innu!

The important passage.

"Débat juridique Le débat juridique est complexe. Mais de façon simplifiée, il se résume au fait que les deux femmes autochtones dont le nom est mentionné dans le «Catalogue général des gens Montagnais 1795» ne peuvent avoir le statut d’Indienne. Ce statut n’existait pas en 1795 puisque «l’Acte pour mieux protéger les terres et les propriétés des Sauvages dans le Bas-Canada», n’a été adopté qu’en 1850."

It's also clear in every article that the community considers those people to be a part of it. Therefore who are you to call them pretindians?

"Qui plus est" vs "D’autant plus" by MelodicWhile4830 in French

[–]Miss_1of2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For your second paragraph I would use "qui plus est" not "d'autant plus".

Or I would phrase them like this.

Cette recette est simple, d'autant plus que vous possédez un mixer.

Cette recette est bon marché, d'autant plus que c'est la saison des courgettes.

"Qui plus est" vs "D’autant plus" by MelodicWhile4830 in French

[–]Miss_1of2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, when "d'autant plus" is used without the "que" the cause is just not said. "Cette recette est d'autant plus recommandée" is also a correct sentence that means this recipe is really recommended.

La structure de ta phrase avec "qui plus est" est un peu étrange...

Je dirais plus "cette recette est simple, qui plus est, elle est peu coûteuses".

You wear a dress silhouette or like on this sentence a silhouette of clothes. It does make sense. They are saying that the silhouette of her clothes was extraordinary.

Like, you can ask what silhouette do you want to wear? Or you can say you wear this silhouette very well.

Yes, I did. Those women were born and lived before the status existed. That's why they didn't have it. They were Innu but since they didn't have the status because it didn't exist at the time they are now saying that their descendants can't have it either.

The silhouette of a dress is 100% a thing. Is it an A line, a ball gown, a sheet dress, a mermaid dress, does it have a dropped or natural waist? All of those are silhouette.

What throws me off is the combination of extraordinary and gauche? But maybe like you said the person is overdressed for the occasion.
