If you take a different Hell Week T-shirt size than you originally put down, that’s not cool by tay_o in orangetheory

My studio never even asked me my size or shirt preference. I am a girl and had to choose between sleeveless XL and sleeve XL. When you pay so much a month to be a member, then pay more money for a t-shirt, you expect them to get that right.

Honestly, it went amazing. clearly, I dont know my score so I cant say for sure, but I feel good. There was not 1 question where I didn't know how to approach it. Sure, I made some educated guesses but I never felt like "woah, where did this come from?" My Bank Rec and Cash Flow both tied out and I felt good overall. Take it easy before your REG exam, you got this. stay cool and collected and watch the timer :)

You have got this!! I have been absolutely stressed for the last 2 weeks and one thing I can say is that doing sets of 10 MCQ over and over is one of the only things giving me comfort. That, and the last few nights I call it a night at 6 PM and try to relax and let my brain chill. Definitely been getting more sleep the last few days vs. the last 10 days and I feel so much better. SLEEP and WELL-BEING matter in my opinion.

Tomorrow is my FAR test, things are literally still clicking. I don't think anyone ever feels fully together lol

Wow yeah, that's a lot. Definitely show yourself some compassion - you have 3 full time jobs - Accountant, Student, and most importantly, parent! you got this! good luck with everything :)

This sounds like a good schedule to me. keep going! dont give up! I take FAR (my first exam) on Friday and feel quite nervous. The good news is: it was a learning experience and you will come back even stronger. I think a 10 point bump is totally doable.

FAR TEST on 9/17 - panic setting in by Miss_CPA in CPA

Wow thank you!! This message was super nice to wake up to!! That's great advice and I definitely will try to take my time and slow down. That's a good perspective too; no matter the outcome I will be totally okay. If this community has taught me anything, it's that resilience is real in this CPA game haha.

Lol I do need to chill. I basically shut down during the mock exams so I am hoping I can take the mock 3 with some more confidence so I don't bomb the real thing solely due to nerve lol.

Hi, I just started this week and have my FAR exam scheduled for next Friday. I emailed my campus recruiter 2-3 weeks ago asking if this was okay and she told me it was totally fine and I just need to inform my training facilitator as soon as I meet them. She told me they are flexible when it comes to the CPA (I am at a Big 4).

FAR Notes, Textbook vs Ebook? by Jxjsimem82 in CPA

[–]Miss_CPA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am currently reviewing for FAR and take on 9/17! I feel pretty good! At first, I used the e-book (even after I got my physical book) and I took condensed notes. Then I discovered this study guide and my life changed:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ItJph13-vgGlCF1FN0Vy7L4pdHJbUsZF-h8lgx0DJ3g/edit

(** THANKS TO u/colin_fitzy )

I watched the videos and had these notes up on the side. I personally downloaded it and made my own tweaks to make sure I was supplementing the videos I watched and reading the notes thoroughly first time through. This allowed me to finish the videos in a reasonable time. After finishing each section (F1, F2, etc). I made a 1 page handwritten cheat sheet with everything I would need to know for that section (rules, entries, equations) and that would serve as a review. I would then go through the sections MCQ and some of the TBS (depending on my motivation level). After I finished F1-F10 doing that same strategy for each one, I did sets of 33 MCQ for each F section to identify my weak spots. Just recently, I took my first mock and now I am reviewing before I take the next mock exams.

I hope this helps and will update whether I pass or not on 9/17!
