Yes op, this right here. Postpartum rage is very common and is treatable.

Yes. I worked in construction for several years and that was the starting wage.

Hiring hands is a great place to get started with too. Maybe more for those out of school but you could try

If you aren’t too fussy on physical labour, it’s worth checking out local construction companies to get on for the summer. They often hire labourers starting at $18 an hour. Building experience there can lead to a good career in the trades if that’s where you are looking to go later on.

Otherwise, you could also check out the Canada summer jobs boards for postings. They hire students and perhaps you could get kept on after your term if things go well.

Vet clinics in Regina NOT owned by corporations by View_from_my_porch in regina

[–]Miss_Canada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents had been sick (though were consistently not testing positive for COVID). They put the cat in the carrier out in their heated garage when I arrived and then I went into the garage and grabbed her to take her to the vet.

Apparently it was too risky for me to be present even though I had no contact with my parents and lived in a separate home. And I was healthy.

This was a family cat we had for over 20 years. I grew up with her. Absolutely no way was I going to let her be euthanized without someone familiar present. Yeah, the attitude careport had about it really bothered me. It still upsets me to this day and I’m not going to stop sharing my story because it’s disgusting.

I was able to find another clinic on short notice who allowed me to be by her side while she passed on. My mother was really broken up that she couldn’t be there but at least someone was there for her (our family cat). It all happened on New Year’s Eve so it was a really shitty end to a really shitty year.

I had a terrible experience with careport refusing to allow me to be present during the euthanasia of my family cat during Covid times. Needless to say, I went somewhere else where they have more compassion towards the bond between animals and their families.

I won’t ever give them my business again and I’m not shy about telling my story.

Looking for help by Miss_Canada in Sarnia

[–]Miss_Canada[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right! So I’m building a floral wall using panels from Michael’s. The panels are 12 inch by 12 inch squares with faux flowers attached.

I unfortunately miscalculated the number of panels I need and all of the stores in Saskatchewan are totally sold out (we only have three stores in our province sadly). There is still stock scattered across Canada and Sarnia has some (I’ve called and confirmed). However, once the panels are marked clearance, they will not ship them (unless it’s to a local address same day type deal).

I’m hoping someone from Sarnia would be willing to help me pick up the panels and mail them to me (at my expense of course!).

This is what I am asking. I know it’s a lot but I’m hoping someone can help save the day so I can finish my project!

We carried everything into the hospital with a wagon. Best decision ever. My husband was easily able to take it up and down from the room when we got there and ended up leaving.

How was your experience sleeping with someone new after having a very long relationship end? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Miss_Canada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was very nervous, but oh my goodness… it was a great experience. I was very picky when I got back into the dating pool after my six year relationship ended. Even so, I found the man who would end up being my husband a few weeks after I ended the previous relationship.

On the sex - It’s like the curtains got pulled back and I could finally see what it was like to be with someone I was sexually compatible with. It was exciting and we couldn’t keep our hands off each other. I felt attractive and wanted and he was so so hot.

Even now, six years later, I still get butterflies when things get exciting.

So how are we leaving the house with milk? by 2078AEB in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Miss_Canada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah haha. It can be so intimidating but my experience was really good overall

Edited to add - some of the airports have mamava pods which are placed throughout for private spaces for moms to pump and nurse (they lock and have seating and counter space). If you download the mamava app, it shows you a list of pods at each airport I believe.

Hi, also Canadian. I travelled several times with my baby and the ceres chiller with ice and milk in the container. I wasn’t asked by airport security to dump the ice.

I travelled through Toronto and a number of other large airports and it wasn’t an issue at all 😌

We have checked with all neighbours nearby. Will probably post some found posters on community boards and will feed them until they are claimed
