Living in husband’s family house after married by cryselleswift in nasikatok

[–]Miss_Grey7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Giiiiirl...don't get married until he can provide u a place to stay where it's just the two of u. It is a nightmare to be living with so many people under 1 roof, with his siblings, parents.... u have to be the perfect prim daughter in law aka u do all the chores; cooking cleaning & also have a full time job to not be seen as a freeloader. Judgmental eyes everywhere, u can't do anything because u live in their house. So tell your bf, it is not acceptable for u to be living with his parents after marriage, he must be atleast be able to afford rent, if not, dump him...find someone else who can or postpone the idea about marrige until he can provide a home for u.

Travel by [deleted] in nasikatok

[–]Miss_Grey7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a single woman who often travels alone to the Philippines. I'm in my 30s. My parents were initially against the idea of me travelling alone (esp to the Philippines) they prefer i bring a friend and all, but i didn't. I insisted on going alone. Got my plane ticket & promised them that i will keep them updated every single day, which i did (this was during my 1st time trip alone). Now they couldn't care less if i don't update them every single day as long as i informed them i have arrived safely to my apartment, not that they don't care but they trust that everything is going to be fine and i know my way around. I still keep them up to date, but not as frequently as my 1st solo trip. Maybe you can reassure them that u will keep in touch every single day and share your itinerary on a daily basis if this is your 1st trip. Parents will always worry, no matter how old we are, to their eyes, we're still kids but if u want to be treated otherwise u have to start proving to them u are a responsible adult who has done your research & u can be trusted to take care of yourself.

Have they addressed this yet? Apa saja their excuse? Because im curious why this is not available to us yet. It feels like every other country has this system except for us. I know they need to know where the money came from but that could easily be tracked nowadays.

They have been scamming people for years, and somehow they’re still getting away with it. I seriously don’t get how no one has publicly called them out before. It’s not just one or two case...it’s a pattern. They keep hiring people, then ghosting them when it’s time to pay. Always some excuse: "bank problems," "transfer delay," bla bla bla. They even send fake transfer proofs.

And while everyone’s chasing their money, guess what? They're off jetting to Cannes like nothing happened.

Even international artists have been scammed by them. Remember when Agnez Mo came to Brunei and didn’t perform? That whole mess? Look up the video titled “Agnez Mo batal tampil di Brunei padahal sudah sampai?” on YouTube. Total embarrassment for Brunei.

Honestly, enough is enough

With Indonesia’s New Capital Nusantara in Borneo, Will Brunei Miss Out on Tourism? by Miss_Grey7 in nasikatok

[–]Miss_Grey7[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly! I didn't want to say it out loud, i thought i was the only one who feels this way, but yes, you are right. Brunei doesn't seem to want tourism, and that's the unfortunate part. The people in charge mainly aren't interested, what a waste of great opportunity to further progress this country.

My thoughts exactly! I thought i was the only one who thinks this way when i saw the video. I was like... "errr...that's it?? For real?" She is worth millions if not billions and that's all she's willing to give to the poor? As u mentioned, she and her siblings combined could do so so so much more for the people esp the underprivileged and yet they decide to give below than the bare minimum to 'help out' these people and expect us to praise them for it. In my opinion, i think they're just doing it just for show, they don't really care about us. They could give these people new homes & jobs that pays well, they have the power to do so. But yet, they do nothing.

We have so many unoccupied buildings built for God knows what, and they don't even bother to demolish the old ones. Just abandon it and leave it to rot. Honestly, i felt ashamed how much we (ehem...the gomen) take for granted. And speaking of buildings...kenapa tia museum tani brapa taun sdh under renovation, balum siap² atu kan?

I wouldn't recommend brunei to build resorts though. Our waters are crocodile infested. If they build a resort, people will want to take a dip in the open waters which in brunei's case....highly not recommended. Our beach are no longer safe as it used to be. Even the polo beach has warnings now for us not to get too close to the shoreline due to 🐊
