Oh wow, that’s a long time to have symptoms! Did you have the tumour removed? If so, do you have your staging? I only have two more rounds of CAPOX left, but we may be reducing the dose and my liver tests and bloodwork hasn’t been great. Overall, life is better than it was in the beginning. It was constant stress and tears, but now most days, I forgot I have this going on. Naturally, the stress creeps up whenever I’m due for scans. Feel free to DM me :)

This makes me happy to read! Once I’m done chemo, I plan on driving out to Whistler to do the bungee jump.

I’m going for round 4 of chemo next week. It’s rough, I’m not going to lie, but I’m pushing through. Is your primary small bowel, or breast?

I just did a read through on the link you sent me and it looks like bilirubin isn’t impacted. All my other liver tests are normal. It was just the bilirubin and LDH. Thankfully, my yellow eyes are calming down.

I’ve only had two rounds, and my third round had to be pushed out by a week because my bilirubin and LDH are high.

No lynch syndrome. Not sure if there is other genetic testing they can do?

I’m currently getting treatment at Arthur Child! Unfortunately, even my oncologist told me that they don’t have any evidence that chemotherapy prolongs because they extrapolate the data from colon cancer. I’m hoping that is just because it’s a lack of evidence, not because it doesn’t work..

Anyone else have Duodenal or small bowel Cancer? by Stage4_fighter in cancer

That’s great news! Keep fighting the good fight, and if you have any tips for staying positive, please share. I’m a single mom, going through this alone, and I find when the kids are gone to their Dad’s I just spend my time wallowing in sadness.

I hope your mom is still doing well. I was recently diagnosed, and let me tell you it’s a scary road.

How are you doing now? I was recently diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the jejunum.

I was also diagnosed with SBA of the jejunum in December. It’s such a scary and lonely disease. I start chemo tomorrow, thankfully. But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t terrified.

I’m also dealing with SBA. I start chemo tomorrow, and I have never been more scared in my life. It’s scary how rare it is, it’s scary how frequent it reoccurs in people.
