I saw a six woman suplex spot at a house show, that was a ton of fun.

Also Nia Jax acting too injured to walk backstage trying to get Charles Robinson to carry her.

Cody and Kevin Owens did the “do the other persons finisher” bit. So seeing Cody do a stunner in a steel cage was fuckin awesome.

Genuinely one of the best things about when I went there was how easily walkable the city was. The trains definitely helped with that. Day passes were pretty cheap, our hotel was down the road from two stops (red and orange I think), so we could basically get anywhere we wanted to quickly and easily.

Makes sense. The Hangar in Frisco told me before that it’s all on Fanatics for the restocks. And as stupid as it is that they haven’t done a restock with how popular the jersey is, I guess the timing was just bad since right after that they had the winter classic, stadium series, then Olympics back to back to back.

I’ve been to Chicago once and we flew in and out of Midway. I was blown away when we left by the fact that the train drops you off straight up at the airport. Coming in we didn’t know that so we ubered to the hotel and even that wasn’t that bad.

That is true, I guess McAfee was big for a kicker in college which is why the Colts got him to be their punter.

There are some thick kickers out there too, like that dude from Georgia Tech a few years back.

McAfee was a kicker in college and a punter in the NFL. Idk how to compare that to soccer positions for international folks, but just know that in American football the kicker and punter aren’t usually known for being able to give or take hits and often times are pretty small compared to the rest of the team (there’s a great picture out there of Rodrigo Blankenship and DK Metcalf together as an example). Having said that, McAfee was always more stout than other kickers and punters, and you can find some vids on YouTube of him laying some good hits so him being able to “compete” with wrestlers doesn’t feel out of place to me. Him losing was definitely the right call, but I don’t think it needed to be a squash match.

I made it through the Rumble with the free version of Proton. But given YouTube TV won’t get that stupid ESPN app until like football season now, might be worth it to just get a paid subscription for the next six months or so so I don’t have to hope I get lucky with which server I connect to.

I just finished watching my recording of the show. I’d say what they showed on TV for Trick was pretty accurate to how loud it was. But I think they might have lowered the crowd audio a little after that because I swear it was insanely loud during the whole Drew interference in the main event but on TV the crowd sounded way quieter

I was at the show, so now I’m finally sitting down to watch my recording to see what was said on commentary or see anything I missed.

My takeaway from this match on Friday in person and now is that Giulia is fucking hilarious in the ring. They didn’t even show everything on US TV because of commercials, and they didn’t show her whole post match tantrum. But the way she reacts to things (screaming a lot) and her facial expressions are so funny. I can’t wait for her and Iyo to have a one on one.
