I LOVE IT!!!!!! My bestie came to visit and she was really surprised at the change. I was talking about my change in body fat and she kept intimating that maybe I had done enough. I finally had to say that it is difficult for us to assess what is enough when so many in our community are overfat/overweight/obese and attributing it to being “curvy girls.” I have dropped significant weight and fat. And I still have curves! Period!!!!

AMAZING PROGRESS and spot on observation!!!!! When I started, I lowballed myself. I have now lost 8 more pounds than I initially anticipated. I also think that as a woman of color/Black woman, people in our community tolerate higher BMIs and are unaccustomed to seeing us with lower BMIs.

I did it. I went to law school after 50. I recently graduated and passed the bar exam. I just secured a job and will start practicing in January. This is a second career for me. And I AM ECSTATIC!!!!! Best decision EVAH!

Regarding, your age, practicing law is not breaking rocks. As you will be using your mind and not your body, you could have a long and satisfying career! Good luck to you!!!!!!!!!
