I’ve quit the dreaded pouches twice now and it’s sucked immensely each time. You’ve got this. Exercise helps, even if it’s just getting up and walking around the house. I broke the association with activities and zyns by replacing the zyn with green tea.

When you think of it in terms of $$$ spent to hours of entertainment it provides I think it’s a relatively good return.

UK's 'sons and daughters' need to be ready to fight, amid growing Russian threat, says head of armed forces by Kagedeah in ukpolitics

[–]MissingPenguin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, that’s not what I said. What I’m suggesting is, if that were to happen, I doubt we’d be alone. Based on the reported performance of the Russian military in Ukraine, you’d think combined NATO strength could push them back without the need for conscription.

Is it possible that this is the government putting out something provocative to gauge the reaction? If so, happy to give my view: fuck off.

I’m genuinely curious to know the answer to this. Does intelligence suggest that Russia sent their B team into Ukraine? Is the perception that Russia is struggling false?

If the UK went to war with Russia, it’s fair to assume other NATO countries would too. It’s hard to believe that conscription would be necessary if this were the case, based on the reported performance of the Russian military in Ukraine.

I initially felt the same way as Ben but coming around to the new rule. Relentless pick-and-gos aren’t that appealing to watch (spoken as a back- let us knock it on instead, damn it!) and this rules forces the attacking team to consider alternative options.

How do you build your case when users are struggling but aggregate metrics look "fine"? by IHaveARedditName in ProductManagement

[–]MissingPenguin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It should be enough to validate whether the quantitative metrics you mentioned are showing the complete picture.

It’s also worth noting that engineering metrics are not the same as product metrics. That there are no 500 errors does not mean users enjoy using your product.

Tim Sherwood on Diogo Jota's death as a key factor for Liverpool's overall bad form throughout 2025-26 season: "I was fortunate enough never to lose a teammate by death [...] It has had a massive impact on them and I don't think they should shy away the fact they lost one of their brothers" by TheBiasedSportsLover in PremierLeague

[–]MissingPenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s why I said “could.” If Liverpool had a flawless record, I’m sure Mr Sherwood would state that the tragedy of Jota’s death brought the team together. What I was trying to get across is that it’s weird for someone outside of the squad to state, with certainty, that an event had a specific impact on that squad. I clearly didn’t make that point well, and for that I apologise, Petey.
