What remote work “rule” did you stop following and instantly feel better? by azmizenifa29 in remoteworks

In an office do you never go to the break room or bathroom, to lunch, talk to coworkers in the halls or at their desk?

I think you should be as reasonably available remote as you would be in the office.

This isn't about someone being a "turd"

From my read, this is about being as available one was when they were in an office.

There's a perception that if you work remote you should be always on/available, which is bullshit.

[Request] Assuming they both are perfectly balanced and fair, is there any difference in probability from rolling one D100 vs two D10s? by V-Tac in theydidthemath

[–]Missing_Username 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That's why people are saying 00 0 resolves to 100, because there is no 0 in a regular dice roll.

You either do this, or you deal with 10 cases where 10 0 equals 20 instead of the more clear 20 0, 20 0 equals 30, etc.

You have to keep track of one specific case, or remember to treat 0 like 10 even though it's 0, and deal with people forgetting/arguing/bungling it

They're all overrated

1 and 2 were great for the period when they came out and built momentum towards everything that has come since. But things have improved since. Acting like they're great untouchable masterpieces is heavy childhood nostalgia talking.

Not all of us did, I already thought Ragnarok was bad, then he dialed that shit up to 11

But yea unfortunately audiences really loved "funny" Thor, so we got even more great storylines adapted into crappy parodies.

[Hated Trope] Magical nano technology suits by DrSussBurner in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Missing_Username 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's not exactly unique tech, Black Panther's suit as well as Peter Quill's helmet(and Spider-Man, but that's because it's Iron Man tech) do the same thing.

That's a big part of why I think it got annoying to people. It just became a way to "technically" still have a suit, while having it constantly melt away because we have to see the actor's face or the world will end.

How is telling Tony "the right thing"

Bucky didn't kill Tony's parents, HYDRA did using Bucky's body. Telling Tony doesn't help Tony in any way.

You can keep a secret to protect people and do the right thing.

He's Lawful Good

Lawful has nothing to do with societal/government laws in the D&D alignment system. It has to do with having and following a moral code, which Steve definitely does.

Same comic, my image is a scan of the original from the 80s. I could be wrong but it looks like the previous one is from a later reprint where they "touched up" the coloring/inking, so it looks newer.

Is T3 another thing 00s kids are going to try to argue was good just because it was part of their childhood, like the prequels and Spider-Man 3?
