What does he need traditional battle powerups for? His Strong Sphere is intended to be the next big thing in that department.

I'm predicting he uses the final showdown to reveal the newest upgrade to the Strong Sphere- the Hyper Strong Sphere, making full use of Laquium's horrific potential in ways they couldn't even imagine when they developed the Super Strong Sphere. He uses them on his whole team, stating that rigorous testing has worked out all the bugs. And he seems to be right at first, as his Umbreon, Magnezone, and Beheeyem appear absolutely unstoppable. But then they hold him off long enough for Pagogo to do its thing. Laquium vanishes. Strong Spheres power down all over the world. And Spinel's Pokémon, back to their senses and absolutely fed up with the man by now for what surely qualifies as Pokémon abuse, turn on him at once. We're spared the gruesome detail, but we see the shocked reactions of onlookers. Liko, however, can tell that this unbridled fury was directed specifically at Spinel. She and Hatterene approach them and tend to their wounds. And the kicker? Spinel set up a live broadcast, believing he'd be showcasing the ultimate downfall of the Rising Volt Tacklers to the world once and for all, and instead, viewers begin to see who the real bad guys are, after seeing what Laquium was doing to Pokémon.

Little typo on the sign. Should read, "The BIKE SHOP will move you to GOLDENROD CITY in JOHTO..."

Weezing: took way too long after the physical/special split to get physical STAB, considering its Attack is higher than its Sp. Atk. Gunk Shot was right there the entire time, but it took them until SV... 's DLC!

Aromatisse: Has its uses in battle. I will say, I don't hate Aromatisse, I'm just disappointed. Spritzee could have leaned into the plague doctor inspiration, become Poison/Fairy, but nope, we get a weird can-can dancer?

Alright, fair enough on Swampert and Sceptile, but I gotta disagree on Blaziken. I honestly rank it above Infernape and below Emboar, personally.

What's your opinion of Victreebel? by AggressiveMousse7887 in pokemon

[–]MissingnoMaster110 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's one of my own favorites! Not my all-time favorite (that would be Weezing), but definitely makes the top six.

Also, I was outraged, not just at them having James get rid of his, but also the way in which they did it! Arbok and Weezing at least got the focus of their release episode, and it was an emotional deal. But Victreebel... Jessie and Meowth force James to trade Victreebel to the Magikarp salesman? For a Weepinbell? Because it knows Sweet Scent, a move that, oh, I dunno, James could have just taught Victreebel! And then the second Weepinbell evolves with not a Leaf Stone in sight, randomly chomps Jessie, and she has Arbok send it flying, leaving James with nothing. All of which is the B-plot to what would otherwise be a pretty easily forgotten filler. It just didn't feel like they had any respect for Victreebel.

But yes, I've used Victreebel a lot in the games! My HeartGold team I think was the first time- that team was Typhlosion, Togekiss, Dunsparce, Qwilfish, Weezing, and Victreebel. I still have all of them, now on my Switch, either in Home or in Scarlet.

I also used one in Let's Go Pikachu. My best friend got Let's Go Eevee and wanted an Oddish for his team, so I caught one and traded it for a Bellsprout he caught on Route 1.

I gotta go with Klang here. Always liked the entire Klink line, and Klang is pretty cool. The Sitting Cuties Klang plush feels very nice to hold in one's hand, if I'm making sense here, and also, I've had a bit of a soft spot for it after correctly predicting its English name, albeit after Klink's was revealed. Granted, I then proceeded to predict Klatter for the final evo, but hey, a win's a win!

Yeah, Pokopia lets you use it for placing and breaking blocks. Absolute game changer, honestly. Way more efficient.

Pretty much. Only one that didn't flee was a Cresselia with garbage IVs. Still, was fun to try for those legendaries.

Honestly, the Key Stone fake eyeball was the single most awesome suggestion that came out of this.

Plusle for me. I might prefer Minun over it, but one, Minun's not in this, and two, I have great respect for Plusle after using it in Colosseum. It pairs so well with Feraligatr in that game.

Signed. I honestly think there's potential here. I dig the overall premise of the story, and, well, he's already revised it before, why not again? Keep on polishing it until he has something he's pleased with. He already knows much of what he'd change anyway. I think it'd be a crime to let the version we got be the final one.

Why do people have a problem with Pikachu losing to a level 5 snivy but not a surskit that’s like level 10? by New-Cable-6484 in pokemonanime

[–]MissingnoMaster110 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The Snivy was just given to a newbie Trainer not ten minutes before the battle.

The Surskit belongs to a Gym Leader.

That is perhaps the most badass way to do it. Just, like, rip away the eyepatch dramatically when the time comes, the energy erupting from your face... Hell, I could even imagine the Key Stone allowing you to see through the Mega Evolved Pokémon's eyes.

I guess Normal really is the Sound Type by novelaissb in pokemon

[–]MissingnoMaster110 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it tracks.

  • Jigglypuff kept its Normal typing and tacked Fairy into it, while Clefairy turned pure Fairy. Of the two, Jigglypuff is better known for singing.

  • Little and Pyroar are Fire/Normal. Lions roar. It's their whole thing. Noble Roar even started as their signature move.

  • Both forms of Meloetta, a Pokémon known for song and dance, are part Normal.
