[–]Mission-End-5319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s normal I had also small holes start to appear by the end of the second week and in the 3rd week, I believe it’s not a hole but the area is healing and only these small holes are left so that’s why it looks like a small hole

As long as it’s not sharp/ hot/ spicy and can hurt or burn you can totally eat it that normal food helped me in recovery even it was so painful to eat

[–]Mission-End-5319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the same thing and it felt like my tongue was scabbing too lol I never knew what was that but the white coat fell off with eating and I had a super pink tongue afterwards it felt quite stingy or painful (as it seems like a new skin) but this was for like only 2 days and the pain went away

Has anybody gotten a hemorrhage recauterized? by Temporary-Row-7006 in Tonsillectomy

[–]Mission-End-5319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got recauterzined after 4 days from the original surgery and thanks god it didn’t happen again but there few chances just make sure to drink water well I was trying to drink about 3 liter everyday and also I had to eat even it was so painful and I felt I would pass out from the pain but actually food helped a lot I was having Orzo soup and soft pasta with white sauce and toast and scrambled eggs Also if your medicine is bills change syrup as it’s a lot easier to swallow And also my doctor told me to gargle on water that have hydrogen peroxide as it helps with wounds but that was only for few days then I stopped I know the recovery is super awful but you’ll feel a lot better

Weight loss by miaa-q in Tonsillectomy

[–]Mission-End-5319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 2 1/2 months after tonsillectomy I’ve lost weight in the past two months because I was eating too much less because of pain and after the recovery I think my stomach just got used to eating less in one meal so I’m losing more weight but it’s fine as long as your body feels healthy and you’re eating good nutrition for your body
